750ml bottle (batch 802/804,bottled on 6-1-2011). Pours hazy dark amber with a tight soapy off white head that leaves a spotty film a tight foamy collar. Aroma is perfect! It has a wonderful tart sour lemon citrus funk with subtle yeast and cheese. Taste is tart light sourness with yeast funky lemon rind and somewhat lactic with a soft hop bitterness. Palate has gentle fizz and is drying in the perfect way! I can’t wait to pick up another bottle! Wow this is fantastic!

Bottle @ ZeeBra Extreme Beer Festival 2013. Hazy orange pour. Aroma is spicy, fruity, dusty, some bourbon. Flavor is dry, dusty, spicy. Decent carbonation, a bit strange.

Glowing orange pour, very nice looking beer with a slight offwhite head. I have had many bottles and draft offerings of this beer, but am just getting around to rating it. Aroma is sour grain, peach, sweet grains of paradise, some gueze elements nudge their way in as well. Flavor is tangy wheat, spicy sour yeast, tingling mouthfeel gives way to a tart grain finish with some sour apricot and sweet nectar. Finishes long with a sweet-tart linger. Yum, I think this stuff is lovely.

2011 Vintage Series. Barrel Aged. The Firefly has a dark amber color with a semi thick foamy head. The scent is acidic with a funky character. I also picked up on oak, lite hops, fruits, grains, and spices. The flavor is very interesting. At first I could taste sugary tart fruit, weak hop notes, and lite yeast. The fruit flavors that appeared were apples and lemon. The finish is delightful. There was a very minor bitterness, fruity apples, followed by a medium sour flavor. The after taste is gently on my palate and pleasant. Overall this was a good brew and I would welcome it again.

Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a fair white head. Nose is typical Jolly Pumpkin sour apple and brett. Flavor is the same, but with a bit of hops. There is a bit of a thinness to this offering and a slightly off aftertaste. A nice enough beer, but not one of my favorites from Jolly Pumpkin.

Bottle. Pours amber, with a finger thick creamy head. Aroma is sour cherries and oak barrels, with notes of yeast and spices, as well as a whiff of tropical hoppiness. Flavour is sour and fruity with oak, cherries and yeast, and a sweet, soft fruity finish.

Tap at buckeye, such a big nose of sweetish grains of paradise.. really dominates to me, strange to smell a beer which features GoP so much.. the lightly bretty finish isnt offensive to me but to others i was with it was a total put off.. lightly straw color and overall a pleasant beer
