Bottle from LeopoldStoch, thanks Brandon! Poured a lightly hazy amber-orange color with a moderate, dense off-white head that quickly faded to a light layer. Awesome aroma. Moderately peppery paired with a soft tart fruitiness (lemon peel, orange) along with some softer fruits (apricot, peach), a nice hop presence, some soft oak, and a funky yeastiness. Smooth, lightly sweet entry with a touch of sweet fruit and oak that leads into a crisp, dry hoppiness paired with a tart yeasty funk producing notes of lemon, earthy hops, pepper, and some light leather that lingers into the finish where it’s paired with a soft oakiness. Crisp, lively carbonation complements the flavors well and makes it very easy to drink. Overall, the flavors seem to meld very well and create an interesting, crisp, easy drinking beer that left me wanting more. Very enjoyable.

Had a glass in tap at the pub. Solid, but not my favorite brew. A little sweet and disjointed.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2014 Tap @ Jolly Pumpkin: Dense, bright amber color. Opaque, vibrant. Not much head, just a thin, gray micro-film & skinny collar. Aroma full of dripping wet citrus & mild juicy mango notes with a moderate amount of leafy dankness that mixes with a sour background of lactic acid & lemons. Fruity, sour, a little bit of toasty malt & flowers come out towards the back-end. Taste follows along with a big sour lemon & lightly acidic green apple skin tartness up front, overshadowed by a persistent, moderate dank character with citrus peel, leaves, florals, & hints of grapefruit. A little bit of whole cone hoppage intertwined with wild blonde ale sourness. Mid-palate to finish brings out a larger woody presence. Some mild cottony funk, damp hay, & soaked oak. Malt is present, lighty toasty but this beast still finishes dry like a saison would. A touch of lingering perfume, wood, & faint acidity in the finish. Fabulous.

Pours a orange golden color with a finger of fizzy white foam. Lots of tart complexity of sour lemon, herbal grass, some round malts to round out the sourness and layers of complex spicy earth and lingering musk. Finishes clean and dry.

Hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of wild yeast, lightly floral hops, grass, light citrus, and vanilla oak. Taste of grass, wild yeast, vanilla beans, wood, and lightly tart.

Wow, over 2 years old and it held up so well with the hops and with wonderful development of the sour yeast. Aroma brings a bit of spicy hops, some tropical fruit, and a bit of sweet and tangy yeast. Pours thick and light hazy golden orange with a white head.

750 ml bottle sample at tasting (late 2011). Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor had some pale malts, woody herbal, grapefruit, some spiciness, tart, not overly sour, grassy, musty. This was interesting, but the finish was a bit soft.

Very hazy amber beer, tiny white head. Light crisp palate, semi dry. Sourish fruits with a little seltzer minerals and a touch of white wine vinegar. The oak stops it from getting to pucker sour territory. Bit of lemon and brett in the semi dry finish. Nice but I could not drink a lot of this.
