3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: Dark brown/black with finger thick beige head.
Aroma: Acetic, vinous, sour cherry, woody.
Taste: Medium/high sourness with low bitterness and sweetness.
Palate: Thick rough grainy texture, light body, average carbonation, abrupt dry, sour, vinous finish.
Comments: Very good. Reminds me a bit of a Flanders sour ale, not quite sure where the stout comes in. I may have drunk this one too young? Blend 1 Bottled 01-10-2013.

Had with Bruce at three philosophers. Pours black with a thin quickly dissipating tan head. Aroma is roast and metallic. Flavor is slightly sour roasty ad some chocolate. Eight oz of this would be nice. Half a bottle is too much. Overall good. But metallic and sourness was a bit too much.

Nose if sour. Thanks Dan. Infected. Tart in the nose. Tart in the taste. Ok. But the roast and sour clash. Lots of wine and vinegar.

Color and aroma show a sour porter but definitely not a stout. Rau to drink bit does not seem to age well. Bought over a year ago.

Bottle thanks to dan. Pours black in head. Aroma of muted chocolate and wine. Taste is wine like, a bit tart, smooth, lite. Not bad.

Bottle from Wilbur’s. Appearance: dark brown color, dark brown head (2 fingers), clear, ok lacing. Aroma: chocolate, light smoke, molasses, light cherry, light vinegar, slight black pepper. Palate: medium to full body, slight peppery heat, dry finish, oily texture, soft carbonation. Taste: sweet malt and sweet tart fruit at the start, light sour in the middle. Overall, super unique, balance is great. Wonderful beer!

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Draft wob cap hill. Aroma of sour cherries and oak wood. Very dark red, brown lasting head. Sips medium full with cocoa powder, cherry and dark tasting fruit. Pronounced bitterness with a slight spicy middle of nutmeg, clove, and earthy tastes. Finish is slightly sweet and leads to a bitter lasting tlafternreath. Complex sour beer, excellent brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sort of a beergasm of style and flavor. Not sure what to call this thing. It says "Stout" but it doesn’t taste like a stout at all. Snifter pour from draft at the Sybarite Pig in Bocas Raton, FL. Very dark pour with a thin offwhite head. Aroma is sour fruits and roasted malts. The taste is tart dark fruits and some roasted malts I guess. Medium body and a tarty finish. Very confused. I didn’t necessarily dislike it but not sure what to think of it either.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not what I expected. Very sour and tarty. Pours a deep black with a thin brown head. Smells of coffee, cream, and some sourness. Taste starts off fine, but finishes very tart, like sour candy. Not a huge fan, a little too intense. Had on tap at the Trappist.
