4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Draft wob cap hill. Aroma of sour cherries and oak wood. Very dark red, brown lasting head. Sips medium full with cocoa powder, cherry and dark tasting fruit. Pronounced bitterness with a slight spicy middle of nutmeg, clove, and earthy tastes. Finish is slightly sweet and leads to a bitter lasting tlafternreath. Complex sour beer, excellent brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sort of a beergasm of style and flavor. Not sure what to call this thing. It says "Stout" but it doesnít taste like a stout at all. Snifter pour from draft at the Sybarite Pig in Bocas Raton, FL. Very dark pour with a thin offwhite head. Aroma is sour fruits and roasted malts. The taste is tart dark fruits and some roasted malts I guess. Medium body and a tarty finish. Very confused. I didnít necessarily dislike it but not sure what to think of it either.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not what I expected. Very sour and tarty. Pours a deep black with a thin brown head. Smells of coffee, cream, and some sourness. Taste starts off fine, but finishes very tart, like sour candy. Not a huge fan, a little too intense. Had on tap at the Trappist.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Color negro con espuma beige densa y uniforme. Aromas afrutados y Šcidos, cereza. En boca tiene una densidad media con un inicio tostado que combina muy bien con un final Šcido y afrutado. No es una stout al uso, pero estŠ muy rica.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a black color with a small soapy tan head that faded and left no lacing. The aroma was sour, tangy, bitter and had a touch of vinegar. The flavor was sour vinegar, tart, somewhat bitter and had a bit of bread. Long sour and tart vinegar finish. Light body and undercarbonated. Not at all stout like.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Come on, I could give many of the same characteristics as my predecessors but the truth is this is a dark sour and NOT a stout. The bitter sour over powers most of the flavored except a few hints of roasted fruit. If a sour had a threesome with a Belgium and a stout you might get the hybrid cross of this beer. It states itís aged in oak but I donít get that flavor at all. Age it longer or donít advertise it. I think this is a great sour hybrid beer, just donít call it a stout!

I love this beer. It is a sour stout. Incredible sour cherry stout aroma and dark brown color. I loved drinking this beer. I didnít know stouts could taste light a dark rich sour beer. Love it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, blend 5, bottle date 2013-01-15. Black with a medium sized frothy tan head. Lactic sour nose. Oak, tobacco, sour berries, cherry, light charcoal, light dusty. The berry notes become more dominant as it warms up. The stout part seems to be in the background, and I donít get a lot of roasted malt/chocolate/coffee/whatever malty notes usually associated with stouts. Medium body, oily texture, high carbonation. Light dry and astringent finish with lingering fruity and wooden notes. Draws a bit of water and is slow drinking. More towards sour/Flemish than stout, but interesting enough.
