3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Deep black pour with khaki head. Aroma of rich chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruit, and light lactic funk. Flavor is chocolate pudding and roasted malt mixed with sour yogurt. Notes of dark fruit, black olive, and finishing with lactic lemon. Residual chocolate roast. Base seems like it would be a great stout. Dont really get the sour stout appeal.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2014 This one I found very good. My first sour type stout I’ve had. And Jolly Pumpkin would be a good place to start for anything. A big puckering upfront followed by the dark fruit and roasty flavors. Similar to Tart of Darkness. Maybe a couple notches lower.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tasted from bottle. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of mostly chocolate with some sour belgian yeast. Taste is at first roasted chocolate malt which quickly gives way to a heavy sourness. Medium bodied with a taste that does cling to palate nicely. If you're a sour fan I'm sure you'd enjoy. Just not my style.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - Roasted malts, farmhouse funk and some spices. Jet black with an orange brown little head. A sour stout, with lambic style sourness followed by dark roast malts. Finish is sour though. Very odd, but I actually like it. The sourness is kept in check with the malts.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
It poured a black color with a thin white head. The aroma was of roasted malt, sour fruit, toast and coffee. The taste was sour up front but balanced by the roasted malt flavor, toast, and some hop bitterness. Different, but good.
