A Belgian inspired stout that is as dark as a moonless midnight, brimming of roasted malts and bitter hops. It will keep you good company in all places, be thay light or dark.

Served in a snifter Appearance- like the name says, dark dawn. This one is dark as night. Very little to none head or lacing. Aroma- at first you do pick up some stout characteristics, roasted malt, chocolate, and some of the oak from the barrel aging. Ounce you get your nose closer and smell you pick up the tart, dark fruit, sour notes. Taste - I picked up some semi sweet malt, dark fruits like raisins, plums, black berries, and raspberries, pretty much giving you that tartness. Almost like a Belgium Quad or double that got some bacteria in it making it sour. Mouthfeel- medium bodied with hardly any carbonation. Overall - i thought it was great. Reminded me of Monks Cafe Sour Red ale. I would definitly recommend as long as you know your not getting a stout.

When is a stout not just a stout? When it’s a sour! Dark and acidic, roasty and sour. Certainly not the norm but it works for me.

75cl bottle shared with friends. Pitch black with a small tan head. Full body with low carbonation. Well balanced sour, bitter and sweet tones. Coffee, roasted malts, vinegar, dark chocolate, dark cherries and spices. Great sour stout.

On tap at Kool Keg. Black color, opaque with a tan head. Sour aroma, nail polish remover and bubble gum. Super sour flavor, puckering and offensive. Tart, funk, light vinegar. Intensely sour finish.

Butelka 0,75l? Kolor ciemny, nieprzejrzysty, piana lekka ale trochę zostaje na szkle, Aromat owocowy susz śliwkowy, trochę czekolady. W smaku dużo owoców jakby stout owocowy? Moc alkoholu wyczuwalna.

Bottle from Aaron. Black pour with thin tan head. Smoky nose and almost sour or wine like taste and feel. Smooth and lighter taste with alcohol bite again like a wine. Really good but very different - be ready for a sour stout mix. Some dark cherry fullness

75cl bottle. Batch 981, bottled 02-07-2012. Dark as a stout but flavor like a sour/lambic??, reminiscent of cherries, lemon or green apple. Curious beer to be tasted at least once in life.

Pour is black with a tight tan head. Nose is fairly ashy and has a dry leathery brett, dark berry fruitiness and some citrusy hop. Flavor is more sour cherry and citrus in back, leathery brett, lightly dusty, moderately sour, light roasty malt, high carb, lighter body, quite dry, lingering bitterness.

Wonderful combo dark n sour. Pours black with tan head and some dark red if put to the light. Aroma of citrus acidic acid and toasty malts. Flavor of the same with cherry notes and some sour raspberry character. Roasts are throughout and perfect Y balanced excellent.
