A Belgian inspired stout that is as dark as a moonless midnight, brimming of roasted malts and bitter hops. It will keep you good company in all places, be thay light or dark.

A little sweet for my liking. Pouts reddish brown with a Jim tan head. Had at kaiser tiger. Smells like toasted malt and cherries.

Bomber - pours a rich midnight black with a light tan head that lingers but no lacing. The nose is unique - big up front sour notes, hint of roasted grain, a whiff of chocolate and musty earthiness. A mouthful is just like the aroma - tons of sour, light roast flavor and a touch of earth. Weird beer....not my favorite but it has its qualities.

I like the aroma. Initial flavor is roasted malts. Finishes sour. You can come up with a lot of flavors with stouts. I don’t think making a sour out of a stout works too well. I like the thought process behind this beer but isn’t my favorite.

75cl bottle, shared with friends. Pitch black colour with small beige head, which dissipates but there’s still a persistent film of froth. Looks like a nice Stout basically. On the other hand, both aroma and taste have little to do with that: sour almost like a lambic, one barely notices dark malts or other flavours...maybe something similar to smoke. It is not a green apple bomb, there’s some balance, but the overall impression is very far from a Stout. Sourness lingers during all the degustation on the palate. Full body, good carbonation. I’ve never seen anything like this...interesting, certainly.

Bomber from DQ mini mart. Poured into a pint glass. Appearance is dark black with a thin slight brown head. Aroma is of heavy sour followed by malt. Taste right off the bat with a tart sourness, then evolves into lactose, then goes into roasted malts and slight tannin notes then goes back to a slight tartness that then dissapates. Pretty good style definitely getting 2 next year.

From old notes. From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Dark brown color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, tart fruits, wood. Sweet. bitter and light acidic taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation

750ml bottle sampled at Churchkey pours a murky black with some spitty, beige head. Nose has lots of chocolate and licorice, a little port, some acid, hints of rotting wood. Flavor is sadly a bit thin, oily, a little soy, some sour orange, some chocolate but the cheap kind, some dandelion greens. Oily and astringent finish.

APPEARANCE – Extremely black, no head as the carbonation is very light. NOSE – slightly sour nose, and malty when I first smell it. However after I take a sip, all I smell is the sourness. FLAVOR – surprisingly sour considering the malty sweetness when I first sipped the beer. NOTES – Good, but not what I expected.

On draft at ChurchKey. Pours a hazy cola brown with a tan head. Aroma of licorice and chocolate. Flavors same with a sour funkiness which was a bit surprising, given the aroma. Tart roast finish.

Bomber bottle. Aroma is slightly sour, a little roasted. Appearance is really nice, dark black with light brown head that lasts pretty well with good lacing. Taste is too much sourness. Tastes to me like an infection from reading other comments. Sourness overwhelms. Medium body. Overall, I couldn’t get past the sourness. Would like to try it again sometime to see if it could be better.
