Pours dark brown in color, with a rich tan head, and deep red highlights. Medium bordering on full bodied with notes of burnt sugar, molasses and figs. Finishes rich and sweet with a hint of roastyness.
Pairs great with cold and snow, and a warm fire.
Super delicious for enjoyment both pious and impious alike!

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not a fan of this and it didnít taste like a Dubbel. Faint malty aroma but not much else. Color was typical brown, maybe a little dark for the style with a thin head. Palate was thin and watery with below average carbonation. Flavors were malty but nothing bready or Belgian. This lacked a lot of character. This brewey can do better.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Ann Arbor location. Pours a clear deep amber with an off white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grain and candied sugar with just a bit of light roast. Flavor similar with candied sugar, sweet bread and a hint of light fruits backed by just a touch of roast.
