Tasted on 9/8/13 from a capped 750mL bottle purchased at Lush West Town a couple years back. Pours hazy dark amber with a very thick tan head that slowly recedes to just thicker than average lace. The nose is nicely tart with wine vinegar, brown sugar, orange peel, and a touch of baking spice. The flavor is not quite as sour as expected, but nicely tart with the same brown sugar, orange peel, baking spice, and just a light touch of pleasant bitterness. The body is medium with a tannic texture, average, but stinging carbonation, and a long tart and lightly bitter spiced finish.

Cellared 2011 bomber, shared & poured to snifters, displaying a fairly clarified, brownish amber color, with a modest layer of off white, bubbly head foam, and spotty lacing. The nose was earthy, dried fruit, holiday scent to the spicing, and some tartness. The taste was more on the sour side, with similar dried fruit & spice expression, and an under control, but satisfyingly dry finish. Probably lost some sweetness, and alcohol punch, as it showed some dry, vinous qualities, but I liked it.

Boiled clementines and mulched sweet berry and dusty. Bright but clean yeastery vibe. Softly Greasy mouthfeel. Dank copper bitter finish. Kinda wish I had more time with this.

Similar to other JP brews. Pours amber with a fruity aroma. The flavor is more sour fruit with a bit of caramel. The finish is tart and dry.

Ok. Pours brown. Typical Jolly Pumpkin yeast. Like a brown with the bretta. Pours brown without much head or lacing. Tap at BRU.

Pours a hazy brown with a foamy white head. Has a tart fruit and cinnamon aroma. Flavor is orange and tart fruit. I don’t really taste the cocoa - perhaps the strong tart flavor masks it. I do enjoy the blend of tart and spice here. Very well done.

Glowing hazy apple juice brown. Big sour apple smells with a light earthyness. Sour taste that is mediated by the cinnamon and cacao nibs. Great dry flavor left over that moisten your mouth.
