Light unclear medium to dark red - orange amber color with a large to huge, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, berry sour, spices, red wine - port, light chocolate - cacao. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, moderate acidic and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, spices, cacao dusty notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100627]

A hazy nut-brown beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet alcoholic with notes of caramel, and hints of herbs. The flavor is sweet with light notes of both wood and alcohol, leading to an end with light notes of hops, and the alcohol still lingering around. Nice.

75 cL bottle. Pours a hazy to murky with a huge tan head. Steady growing with a clear indication of an infection. Aroma is slight tart citric, chocolate and roasted caramel malt yet also wineous. Citric and wineous fruity flavoured. Vague smoked infection note. Fruity and cacao malty flavoured finish with a mild wooden note. Lingering fruity wineous and malty finish. Nice despite the element of infection.

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a vaguely hazy dark brown with a beige head. Vinous, port-like nose. Delicate, roasted malty accents with some alcohol. Notes of dried fruit and - again - port wine. A very refined and sophisticated brew. 270106

Bottled@O’Haras, Tampere. Rubyish brown colour with small beige head. Aroma is fruits, sour and tart wood along with some spices. Flavour is being quite identical. Wellbalanced and quite nice.

Bottle @ Cervezageek - smagning, Odense. Batch 349. Pours cloudy dark brown with a creamy white head and lacings. Nose is deep of oak, brett, fruit, caramel and hops. Fresh, earhty, dry and a bit tart taste. Mildly spiced and vaguely sticky. Well balanced. Dope

Hazy brown color. Some aroma of malt. Malty taste, quite sweet in the front, a lot of caramel, balancing bitterness later. Not impressive.

Bottle from old Skjold Burne. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are brett, malt, caramel, nuts, fruits and hops.
