| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 19, 2009 Bottle - Batch 332/333 - Pours rich, dark plum with a massive cream-colored head. Smells of sour funk, with sweet fruit: apples, melon, lemon, and some brett. Taste is cherries and sour vinegar, lemon, and grapefruit. Finishes with a smooth oakiness and sour funk. Not really that spicy, but the fruit, sour, and malt blend together perfectly and make for a complex beer that’s surprisingly smooth. I do believe this is my favorite JP beer yet.
