Thnx Skortila. Orange colored brew. Aroma is yeasty, fruity and hoppy. Flavor is hoppy, a bit vinous, sourness, sour berries. Nice balanced and complex brew. Good x-mas beer.

Pours a cloudy dark brown with thick had tht stisck through a third of the glass. The nose presents mild sour notes but with funky earthy overtones but oak predominayes. The first sip is strong with dark brown malt but he sour picks up quickly vinous flavors also present. The finish is sour but clean, Probably one of the best American sours I have ever had.

Batch 1, 2009 Bottle - Pours dark and brown with a large off white head...wow this brew is such a diversion from anything I’ve had before...aroma is cinnamon bark and oak, dusty lemon, slightly herbal...flavour is similar, sour and spicy, dark fruit and tart oak...very interesting brew...

Bottle. 25.4 oz. (Batch 333/334) Pours a deep, clean maroon-brown with a mountainous off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, citrus, caramel, hazelnut, toffee, roasted malts, and dry hops. Full bodied with a soft, sticky, tart mouthfeel. FInishes not with bang, but a warm whisper. Excellent seasonal Belgian strong from Jolly Pumpkin.

Bottle shared with Kawabomber...6-7-09......Pours a cloudy brown with a beige head....sweet delicate fruity malt aroma....barrel taste? yes---oak?...yes.....zing and spice...candied orange and spicy malt...light body with the flemish-esque....bitter finish mixed with sour muddled flavors...may need aging?....just ok for my taste buds

Bottle - Batch 332/333 - Pours rich, dark plum with a massive cream-colored head. Smells of sour funk, with sweet fruit: apples, melon, lemon, and some brett. Taste is cherries and sour vinegar, lemon, and grapefruit. Finishes with a smooth oakiness and sour funk. Not really that spicy, but the fruit, sour, and malt blend together perfectly and make for a complex beer that’s surprisingly smooth. I do believe this is my favorite JP beer yet.
