On tap at the GCB for 4$ (thanks!). Not sure how I haven’t rated this one yet; its probably my third or fourth time having it. Pours golden in a tulip glass with slight haze. 5mm of moderately-coarse white head that fades. Aroma/flavor are grass, grain, bit of Parmesan cheese, some herb, dust. Body is medium light, a tad bit syrupy for the style. Delicious.

1 pt. 9.4 fl. OZ. bottle. Slow gusher. Opaque pale yellow orange, yeast chunks, cumulus white head slowly settles. Spicy fruity yeasty aroma. Tart floral spicy peppery taste, yeasty funk, fruity, some citrus, mild malts. Average carbonation, medium bodied, lightly hopped. ABV well hidden. A bit rough and dirty. DNFL (Definitely Not For Lagerboys)

Yeasty, funky smell, beautiful blonde color, the taste of citrus, lemon, orange, a little tang, but not enough. Some have said this is a Wild Ale, some said it was a sour, it’s more of a Belgian Ale to me. Good but could use more sour in my opinion.

Bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Gusher! Pours hazy pale golden with a frothy white head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sour, fruity and funky with crackers, white grapes, hay, dry soil, white Chardonnay wine, lemon zest, plums, white pepper corns, pineapple, passionfruit, tropical fruit hard candy and dry wood. Taste is sour and fruity with crackers, Chardonnay wine, dry soil, plums, grape skins, French oak, leather, lemon zest, star fruit, passionfruit, mango, hay, alcohol and hints of peppercorns and allspice. Mouthfeel is soft, sparkling, dry, tart, tiny dusty, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sour and fruity with crackers, white wine, dry soil, hay, French oak, passionfruit and lemongrass. Very white wine like and very tasty... Alcohol drags it down slightly though...

750 ml bottle from Winooski Beverage Warehouse. Sticker reads Batch 1023 Bottled on 05/22/2012. Hazy gold with a thin ring of white head around the snifter. Nose is mostly sour oak with some Belgian yeast, hints of barnyard. Flavor start with tons of tropical fruit with funky mango. Belgian yeast is the main body with funky oak notes in the backend. Light tart pucker in the back of the taste buds. The aroma leads you to believe that you are about to drink an unreal funky farmhouse brew. Well, the flavor is good just not as pronounced as the aroma. Classic offering from Jolly Pumpkin and really a nice New Year’s Day sipper.

Bright golden orange. nice 2 finger head that fades. Nose has lots of peach pieces. mild juicy bitterness and big oak profile. Sort of a cheap moscato taste. grape skins, peach and rye but the taste is way under what the nose was. Still, nice an drinkable but a 750 is way too much.

Bomber. Slightly hazy straw yellow with a big, white, fluffy cap. Aroma of cheese, straw, tart citrus, more cheese, funky yeast. Taste is slightly tart, followed by a balanced dryness.

Really nice fruity notes that made it seem like a sour. Pretty pear and champagne color with nearly a head. Light carbonation with a dryness like a wine. Smooth and crisp. Subtle blend of flavors with some sharpness. A lot of fruit and grape character. Belgian yeast and hops round out the finish. I also detected a hint of oak at the beginning. Complex.
