COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hummocky Lick Sumac Sensation is the fourth release in our earth shattering series of beer brewed with unusual ingredients, dubbed project Green Leaf. Names for a great little Huron River headwater creek and two Michigan staples, Hummocky Lick starts light and grassy as a breezy field of spring wheat, turns slightly sour and tart with cherries and finishes with a hint of clove and tamarind from the friendly sumac berry.

I really enjoyed this beer. It wasn’t as sour as I expected which was not a huge disappointment as I was wishing for anything really. It was well balanced and spiced. It really tasted like a differently spiced witbier, very good!

On tap in Ann Arbor. Poured a hazy straw color with a small sized head. Aromas of wheat and some spices. Tastes of wheat, berries, spices, and cherries. Tart, wheaty/cherry finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Interesting candy apple aroma. Flavord are subtle, but I appreciate sumac, it adds a subtle lemony tang to the beer. A pleasing malty middle and an herbal finish. Fun.

draft at JP... medium to dark murky straw... the nose is pretty much dead, with so much going on not sure why that’s the case... tastes boring with a weird taste that I attribute to the sumac worst beer of the sampler, did not enjoy

Two of the Project Greeleaf beers available and consumed at the Ann Arbor location of JP.Great nose and incredibly sour. Sumac berry used which lends clove and tamarind, cherries added as well. Yellow with a significant white head. Complex and unique.
