Draft. Aroma has notes of sour brett, cherry, citrus and leather. Great nose. Deep red hue with a large lasting head that left wonderful lace. Gorgeous. Flavor is medium/heavy sour and medium sweet. Palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation. Smooth to drink with a sharp acidic finish. I lost myself just looking at this beer; beautiful. I loved the nose as well. Would love to try this again. A good one.

Growler poured into a tulip. Pours a clear orange/brown with thin tan head and lively carbonation shooting up the sides of the glass. Wonderful aroma of apple cider vinegar, cherries, grapes, caramel, oak, and the typical JP funk. Taste is quite tart and moderately sweet, with crisp and smooth carbonation. Finishes very dry. This is a really tasty beer.

Growler via mattmc1973. Pours a mostly clear deep amber with some reddish highlights and a small bubbly off white head. Nose was tart dark fruits, dry oak and a touch of vinegar. Flavor held a bit of acetone but not too bad, medium tart on the palate.

draft in Ann Arbor awhile back - Pours red with a lingering head. It has an assertive, sour, dark fruit aroma with wild yeast funk. The flavor is tart with berries, cherries, and lots of funk. Delicious!

Multiple samples from the Growler graciously shared @ the Jackie Oís release. THANKS!!! Apparently this growler sat in a refridgerator since the release and It really held up well. Clear amber por with a thin off white head. Aroma is lactic acid, lemon, green apple and brett. Nice acidity and fairly complex showcasing JPís house character. Well Done

Growler. Reddish brown in color with no head. Wonderful tart cherries and funk aromas. A very mild sourness with all kinds of tart stone fruits, caramel, and acidic flavors.

Was able to enjoy this one a few times over the course of some weeks. Iíve heard two different lists of Jolly Pumpkin and North Peak beers blended into Spring Sour, but itís basically composed of Humongous Imperial Red Ale, Bam BiŤre Farmhouse Ale, Berserker Strong Ale, Noel de Calabaza Special Holiday Ale, and some spoiled, year-old aged Bog Beast Porter all thrown into a sour barrel. Pours a dark hazy red with a small head. Smell is full of dark fruit and lots of classic JP funk. Taste is very similar to the nose with plum, fig, and dark fruits dominating alongside a nice malty background. Itís probably pretty accurate to call this a Flanders Red. Finishes pretty acidic, but not too heavy as itís definitely a good beer to enjoy during the hotter months.

A growler via Kyle thanks to the best crew around! Pours a clear reddish amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces nicely. Aroma is quite acidic with stone fruits, some signature JP funk and a hint of sweet grain. Flavor starts with sour stone fruits and funk with a growing acidic note that becomes a bit harsh. Despite acidity, drinks nicely.

From a growler. Tangy, herbaceous aroma with a slight hint of acetic. Flavors are rich and broad. Thereís a great combination of acidity and toast. Great dark, roasted touches in the finish. A slight funky bitterness over the top. Complex.
