COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The fourth in our Bam Farmhouse series, and perhaps our most adventurous; a traditional farmhouse style hefeweizen. Weizen Bam seamlessly blends traditional German style hefeweizen yeast with our own local wild and sour cultures, for a melange of the most flavorful sort. Ruddy golden, with yeast driven esters of banana, spicy clove, and nutmeg all wrapped up with a generous dose of good-natured rapscallion delight.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy white head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong funk, oak, lacto, and yeast. Thin mouthfeel with nice sourness and funk with light oak, easy to drink, very good.

Seamlessly blend hefe with the sour... well it's delicious but definitely first a sour with noticeable hefe qualities.

Bottle, bottled 07/03/13. Pours yellow with a big lightly coloured creamy head. Aroma is yeast with sweet ripe fruits and spices, and malty notes with honey, toffee, as well as grass, apple cider vinegar, and scant stable notes. Full body with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart fruity yeast with citrusy lemon peel, and apple cider vinegar giving a nice sourish finish.

Tasted on tap at Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor. It poured a hazy with a light golden hue and almost no head or lacing. Aroma of green apple with a hint of pineapple. Most bitter tasting Weizen I’ve ever had.

Lovely Farmhouse ale I can’t wait to have again. Very drinkable and would make a good initiation into sours for the unacquainted.

Dradt at Khyber Pass. Cloudy yellow gold pour that started with a large fizzy/foamy white head that quickly disappeared entirely. Tart Meyer lemons. Snow ball bread rolls. Slight Brett funk. Flavors remain lemon and bready throughout. Not overly complicated, but unusual.

Bottle at Pauls. Poured an ugly 70% huge fizzy off white head 30% pale straw yellow body. Aroma is funky, farmhouse, lemon, wet wheat. Flavor is soft, lemon, wheat, funk, brett, horse blanket. Delicate body, light fizzy carbonation, softer mouthfeel, quicker fading aftertaste.

Batch 108, 06/06/13. Huge dust and attic notes in the aroma. Medium bodied. Taste is obvious brett, funk, spices, some wheat and an incredible acidic and dry. This is very good considering the abv!

750ml brown bottle with a cap. Gushed when uncapped... Gold colour, hazy, thin white cap. Nose is lemony and sour. Taste has wheat malts, dash of caramel, lemony and sour. Dry and very clean finish. A shame about the gush, but thankfully turned out quite well.
