COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The fourth in our Bam Farmhouse series, and perhaps our most adventurous; a traditional farmhouse style hefeweizen. Weizen Bam seamlessly blends traditional German style hefeweizen yeast with our own local wild and sour cultures, for a melange of the most flavorful sort. Ruddy golden, with yeast driven esters of banana, spicy clove, and nutmeg all wrapped up with a generous dose of good-natured rapscallion delight.

Bottled 07-30-2012: Light yellow color, slightly hazy, with a quickly diminishing fizzy white head. Aroma is citrusy and grassy and a little funky. Flavor has strong tart citrus and cherry, a bit spicy, and finishes clean with little lingering aftertaste. Good overall.

Vive Jolly Pumpkin! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smooth and slightly sour. No deepness, fresh wheat aroma, lots of carbonation. Nothing special, not a great brew. No typical Weizen-aroma, only a bit sour, nearly no tartness. Very disappointing... 4/10/3/4

A very sour finish on this. Not quite as well balanced as the other bams. Pours cloudy yellow with good head and lacing. Sour citrus. Tap at Sancho pistolas

Pours slightly hazy yellow, white head. Aroma is tart lemon funk, faint oyster, apple, wheat, yeast. Flavor is tart and dry, some clove & wheat. Overall nice beer, like a soured heffe better than the original style.

"Cool beer. I want to dock it points for friggin exploding...maybe I will if I can’t exchange it :). Loved the sour hefe flavor and aroma though. Pretty neat...different than a berliner tastes, & different than most Jp beers. "

Barnyard funk is the most assertive aroma, but hints of citrus are also detected. An unfiltered pale yellow pour with little head and no lacing precede a very rewarding taste experience. Wheat, bread, citrus, and a sourness that creeps up on you in the finish and lingers on the sides of your tongue well into the aftertaste. Light body with crisp carbonation. Overall, I liked this beer. A refined and well crafted wild beer.

Draft - Light banana and some tart funk. Hazy light yellow gold with a small white head. Lemony citric acidity and some light banana in the background with a really clean finish.

Mild säuerlicher Antrunk, starke Karbonisierung. Trocken, laff aromatisch, dann wieder etwas säuerlich. Unspannend. 7/8/8/6/9/6
