Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 2 December 2009. This brewery has been going for years but the beers are not easy to find and they rarely make a new one so this was quite welcome. Copper colour. Loose white, but lasting head. Dry and quite fruity. Earthy hops come through with good length to the bitterness. Slaty mouthfeel. A good, solid best bitter in a quite traditional style.
