On Gravity at the Old Tavern, Bristol 23/2/08. This was sampled straight after Grenville’s Renown and was very similar, albeit stronger. Deep amber coloured with a lacy white head. Fruity malt aroma followed by more malt in the flavour. Finish had some chocolate malt and was moderately bitter. Good.

DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - SEP 8, 2008
Tamworth 08. Thinly lidded chestnut. Bit of a sickly, buttery caramel snout. Biscuit, caramel, almond, hint of (straw)berryish hop fruit. Feels a bit unfinished. Too much marzipan booziness at 4.4, but ok.

Cask@GBBF2008. Amber colour, not that much head. Aroma is dark dry fruits, berries along with some non-sweet nectar and wood. Flavour is grass, hay, wood, some fruits and mild flowery hops. Aftertaste is dominated by wood.
