3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 ml bottle at home, poured into a tulip. ABV 4%
Golden yellow to orange beer, with a hazy body. Two fingers of white head, with good retention and medium lacing left on the glass.
Aroma of grains, something lactic in it, smoke. Sour aroma but pleasant combination, like a good smoked cheese.
Tastes mainly of smoke. Other than that leather, wood. A touch of sourness.
Medium thin body, average carbonation. Tart on the palate
Overall very drinkable and sessionable, I think I much prefer this one over the Gratzier.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled, drank next to the gratzer. Similar base beer, but obvious woody notes extra to this grodziskie. For me, giving it more complexity, but also a bit more dry, whereas the version without the willow bark seems to be more refreshing and fruity sour. Still, I think I prefer the Grodziskie, but just by a small bit.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Biernavigatie.nl. Hazy milky yellow with a thin white head. Smoky lightly sour aroma. First sip is rather sour and strange but , given the time, the beer gets better and better. It still remains smokey but with lighter notes of citrus, grass and an almost lambic-ish feel to it. Great, unusual beer.

Yellow coloured and unclear. Has a white head, lasting. Heavy yeasty aroma, cheese, shoes, smoked. Heavy smoked flavor, light sweetness. Creamy, dry texture.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle. BB 11/13. From bierkompass.de.
Hazy greyish yellow colour with a medium sized white head.
The aroma is phenomenal... tar, smoke, sourness, lemon, sweat and leather.
The flavour is very interesting... interesting indeed... tar, cough drops, mild smoke, mild saltiness and citrus hops. Absolutely great nectar. A bit thin though... I really would like to taste that Grätzer version. Please revive this style...

4oz at Churchkey. Pours a very hazy gold with some spitty white head. Nose is wonderful, lemon, salty, wheat chaff, mild smoke, earthy. Flavor is sweet, malty, salty, lemon, earthy, some cracker, wheat chaff, some sand. Clean finish. Very nice. Super drinkable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Bierkompass!
Pours pale hazy yellow with fine white head. Smells fresh fruity, smokey and sweet grainy. Starts with strong smoked malts, dusty and earthy, with some sweet-bitterish fruits and some wooden nuances. Finish is fruity and smokey with sweet grains and some sweetish yeast.

This one seemed different from the other, it does have some willow bark which might have made it worse for me.

murky hay, larger bubbles on film, mold-like appearance. Similar manure nose to Gratzer, hay. Peachy, buttery flavor, oily profile yields massive dry paper, lower attenuation than Gratzer, smokey through the end. Zesty carbonation stings the palate, which obfuscates the smoke.

Tap at CK thanks to craftycarl21! Beautiful full haze straw pour. Good lace. Really bomb nose- mix of lemonade, hibiscus tea, smoke, lime honey. In taste, clean, very light, grassy hops, not sour. More sessionable with a grassy hop balance. Clean, bright. Really good.
