4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl. The beer in the glass is light orange, camel and very cloudy. Nice white head. The beer starts slightly sour, very smooth due to the yeast. The mainpart has a nice beech-herbal flavour (like beech in the sauna smells) together with a slightly bitter and slightly sour touch. Dry and aromatic. The aftertaste is long, intense, beech, sourness, dry and still smooth.
A very interesting beer. I like the combination of beech together with the dry sour and horseblanket-like flavour. Great! --> 13/10/12/13

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 330ml (Bierkompass)
Hazy orange color, good white head, lace. Aroma is smokey with tar, citrus and milky notes. Light-bodied. Oaky smokeyness, some lactic flavors, light tartness and salt. Citrusy bitterness. Very original flavor, really unique style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 33 cl. Pours hazy pale yellow in color with a small whitish head. Light
smokyness, some citrus fruityness and saltwater in aroma. Notes of burnt wood as
well. Nice. Salty and smoky taste. Refreshing and tasty with a soft mouthfeel.
Incredibly tasty for such a low abv, filled with nice flavors all the way. Nice,
soft smoky fruity and light salty notes in aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 ml bottle at home, poured into a tulip. ABV 4%
Golden yellow to orange beer, with a hazy body. Two fingers of white head, with good retention and medium lacing left on the glass.
Aroma of grains, something lactic in it, smoke. Sour aroma but pleasant combination, like a good smoked cheese.
Tastes mainly of smoke. Other than that leather, wood. A touch of sourness.
Medium thin body, average carbonation. Tart on the palate
Overall very drinkable and sessionable, I think I much prefer this one over the Gratzier.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled, drank next to the gratzer. Similar base beer, but obvious woody notes extra to this grodziskie. For me, giving it more complexity, but also a bit more dry, whereas the version without the willow bark seems to be more refreshing and fruity sour. Still, I think I prefer the Grodziskie, but just by a small bit.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Biernavigatie.nl. Hazy milky yellow with a thin white head. Smoky lightly sour aroma. First sip is rather sour and strange but , given the time, the beer gets better and better. It still remains smokey but with lighter notes of citrus, grass and an almost lambic-ish feel to it. Great, unusual beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle. BB 11/13. From bierkompass.de.
Hazy greyish yellow colour with a medium sized white head.
The aroma is phenomenal... tar, smoke, sourness, lemon, sweat and leather.
The flavour is very interesting... interesting indeed... tar, cough drops, mild smoke, mild saltiness and citrus hops. Absolutely great nectar. A bit thin though... I really would like to taste that Grätzer version. Please revive this style...
