schuim (36), Netherlands Nov 30, 2001 This orange collored beer is more refreshing than most wheatbeers. Although I doubt if this beer is a fair compairison with wheatbeers. After the refresing taste there is a good bitterness in the aftertaste. My terras favourit. motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic Apr 11, 2003 had this on tap at some well-stocked but pricey beer bar in arnhem. original stuff - very yeasty aroma then lots of dark grape and watermelon with a surprisingly sour/dry finish. had this in between a few abbeys and it more than matched them tastewise mikeben (344), Naperville, Illinois, USA Jun 11, 2005 Well this is supoosed to be a wit so this is under the wrong catagory. Not bad I like this sdtyle very much but as wits go this is nothing special. It sounds real interesting when you read the copy but it is rather watery if crisp. Better then many beers but for its style just OK. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Mar 6, 2005 On tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Hazey white/yellow, with a thickish head. Really nice chalky lemon aroma. Less chalky than expected in the mouth, more sliky in fact, with a lemon meringue pie feeling. Sweet fruit, with creamy fizz and a crunchy carbonation on the finish. Very good stuff, even though I never clocked it was anything other than a standard Wit stylee. Quinten (954), zaandam, Netherlands Oct 17, 2005 nice, gentle.. spicy taste,..fresh no overwalming bits, recepy from 1407, old dutch traditional beers are rare. TheRimmer (483), Florida, USA Sep 25, 2003 pleasant surprise. yeasty, bread aroma. kind of fizzy mouth feel at first then it became mroe subdued. tastes were rampant with fruits like watermelon or maybe orange. Nice collage of fructose. really good. savitska (163), Smyrna, Georgia, USA Dec 30, 2003 Pours almost white, then settles to a cloudy yellow with a nice, white head. Very similar in appearance to Wit beers and very cloudy. Had the scent of fresh cut lemons and bananas. A wonderful taste of malt with a gingery sweet finish and some notes of peppery spiciness. A very complex beer. jerohen (1602), Bussum, Netherlands Sep 13, 2001 Updated: Jan 1, 2007Bottled, gift from my mother. Fruity with lots of herbs. Very easy to drink. Like most of the other beers from this brewery, pretty good.
