3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Beernavigatie. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is resin wood light hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth yeast resin hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A typical Dutch IPA but not really a typical IPA at all. The yeast just isnít right for an IPA. Itís like a watered down Belgian strong ale with some extra hops. There are some Dutch brewers who have brewed great IPAís but others need to revisit the drawing board.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle 330 ml at home, ABV 7%. On the bottle says Pacific Jade hops were used. Into a tulip.
Deep orange colour on the body, very cloudy. Almost two fingers of off-white head with good retention. Medium lacing on the glass.
Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, biscuit, malt.
Very nice and refreshing taste, very bitter too. From the first sip, all the way to the finish, an intense bitterness with long duration. Light citrus flavours, grapefruit, a bit of biscuit, orange peel on the finish.
Medium thin body, good carbonation, extremely dry on the palate.
Overall very good beer! I was expecting something mediocre at best, seeing itís brewed for a liquor store but it did exceed my expectations. Great!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark amber, almost clear, small beige head. Sweet candy hop aroma. Nice hop bitterness combined with a buttery sweet candy taste, makes it both weird and interesting. As most jopen beers itís different than you expect. I like this one :-)

Bottle. (2012 batch)
D I A C E T Y L all over it. Front, back, bottom, sides, aroma, taste. Thickest slice of butter Iíve ever found in a beer.
Tried different bottles, all had the same problem. Surprisingly bitter from what I can say though.
