(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 1 March 2014) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, orange marmalade and a touch of resin. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange peel, dried apricots, a touch of rye bread and a certain resinous bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, fairly dry. Tasty and quite well balanced for its strength. Nice one.

Doftar fylligt med gräsiga toner å metall inslag. Smakar lite syrligt friskt beska. Rätt ok öl. Inga smaker av alkoholen alls.

Bottle at ’t Klooster, Delft. Pours dark copper with a lacy beige head. Aroma is caramel, chocolate (!), grass, tropical fruits, toffee and some grapefruit. Taste is heavy sweet and heavy bitter. Full bodied, not easy to drink cause there’s a lot going on here. Not bad but too much dark malts, would have been better with a cleaner/lighter malt profile in my opinion.

On tap at Arendsnest. Clear copper pour with thick white head. Aroma is hoppy, distinct pine, grapefruit and spruce aromas, light earthy notes, toffee, black pepper. Taste is bitter (pine and black pepper) with a nice caramel sweetness, light booze on the finish . Palate is med-full bodied with light-med carbonation. Nice sipper IPA, a bit barley wine ish.

Bottled 330ml Tnx Edo. Deep ruby-pinky color, small steady beige head. Resiny-fruity, almost glueish-berryish aroma. Medium to full bodied. Resin, pine and some citrus, a bit bready. Some alcohol warmness. Long lingering resiny aftertaste. A bit heavy but for Dutch quite nice DIPA.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Tom L. Hazy amber. Aroma of malt, caramel, cookies and stale hops. Sweetish flavor, malty, caramelly, with light fruitiness, stale hops and some bitterness. Medium-bodied. Past its prime.
