Dark translucent brown/red, thick & lasting head, good lacing. Crude roasted maltiness in the aroma with coffee, vanilla and some spicy hops in the background. Sweet taste, some roastyness, plus some vanilla. Very simple, but nice. Mouthfeel was quite thick, low carbonation. Decent, sweet and inoffensive stout.

CBF07 sample from bottle. Pours black with a diminishing head. Aroma is roasted malt. Flavour is roasted dry malt with a whiff of coffee. Finish is short and dry. A bit bland

From 33 cL bottle@OLiAarhus. Pours dark brown with a red hue and a light brown head. Toffee malty aroma, slight roasted and a bit buttery. Flavour has a slight smoke note, dry malty. Only little butter and toffee in the flavour. Ends malty. 6-3-6-3-13

Bottle Jopen Extra Stout. Brown colour and creamy beige head. Aroma of malted barley, coffee beans and raisin. I sure like this stout from the Netherlands. Im impressed that this flat country can brew a beer with so many mountain tops!

Bottle @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. Label "Jopen Extra Stout". Clear medium brown color with a frothy fair laing mostly lasting off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, sweet, roasted, caramel. (More like a sweet stout). Initial flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter, middel flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter, finish flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft.

(Bottle 30 cl) Comes as "Jopen Extra Stout". Clear, reddish brown with an off-white head. Soft aroma of roasted malt. Fairly light-bodied with sweetish notes of roasted malt. The finish is dry. Closer to a Sweet Stout or even a Dunkel - not really a Dry Stout. 120507

Bottle, 5.5% as Jopen Stout Extra. Fruity aroma. Almost black colour, small light brown head. OK roasted flavour, quite fruity. Hard roasted, burnt flavours. Thin mouthfeel. The finish is slightly fishy/smoky. Would be a good session beer for me.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark-brown colour with a big beige bubbly and creamy long lasting head. Pretty good lacing. Aroma of alcohol, dark fruits, roasted malt and some chocolate. The flavour is soft and sweet, roasty maltiness, chocolateish, some dark fruits, bit smoked and with a soft bitter finish. Rather thin stout. More like a smokish dunkel.
