(Bottle) Medium beige foamy head, Dark Ruby-like colour, Aroma of Roasted malts, Coffee and a little bit of chocolate. I dislike many local beers in the netherlands, but this one is an exception, I don’t find this one bad at all

Dark ruby, almost brown. Light brown thick foam lacing to glass. Aroma is caramel with chocolate. Taste is caramel with some bitter aftertaste. (Velp 201205)

Dieser Stout hat eine mittelmäßig-gut haltende Schaumkrone, der Körper ist undurchsichtig Schwarz. Es riecht nach holländischen weichem Lakritz, leicht Kaffee, später wird der Geruch noch etwas süßer. Geschmacklich ist es etwas kaffee aromatisch, herb-röstig aber etwas zu intensiv herb und süß für diesen Stout, dazu kommen noch blumige Aromen die sich nicht recht einfügen wollen. Fazit: Dieser Stout ist okay, aber ein guter Stout sollte ausgeglichener sein.

Excellent, fresh and full-flavoured Stout! Decilious in combination with oysters!

Light body, with a nice retained head. Not as thick as I like my stouts but a very nice one for summer. Very roasty and toasty taste. Not bad at all.

Bottle @ home. Dark black colour with a tanned, beige creamy head. Smells not that much. Some malts and some hops. Tastes suprisingly well! Nice coffee and chocolate taste, some hoppyness. Could use more body, but considering the 5,5% abv it’s quite good.

Roasted Aroma, somewhat malt but an overall incredible strong coffee-taste, like drinking an espresso. Nice if you’re into the bitter beers.

Roasted malts on taste, chocolate. Good carbonation and a bit watery.
Nice session-able beer.

Dark, nice creamy brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, bitter coffee and hops and some chocolate. Taste is less than the nose. Same elements, just less intensive, still tasty enough though. Body is medium, carbonation is ok.
