A mid amber coloured beer with a thick and frothy white head. A strong vinous alcoholic aroma, with a pithy hoppy aroma in the background. Dry mouthfeel. The taste follows on from the aroma with the strong, boozy, vinous flavour, grapey fruit that brings in the pithy, citrusy hop flavour. Once this settles there is a mildly sweeter suggestion of malt, bready and yeasty, with this and the fruitiness, gives a fruit loaf type taste. The finish continues with the fruity and the bready elements.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 11/06/15, at Viisi Penniä, 20150502) The beer poured golden and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, Belgian style yeast and spiciness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, spiciness, Belgian style yeast, grass, herbalness and bitterness. Aftertaste was yeasty, hoppy and bitter. A brew approaching the very annoying sorachi ace characteristics. If I really tried to ignore that I managed to find a Belgian style brew with decent hop bite.

Lekker hoppig bier, met en lichte citrus nasmaak. Gek genoeg blijft het schuim nooit staan. Gelukkig goed verkrijgbaar.

Cloudy yellow color with minimal white head, nice little crumbs floating around. Extremely weird aroma, taste is malt and booze, quite alcoholic for 6,5% ABV, some sourness and sweetness. Medium body, lively carbonation. Slightly bitter notes in the finish. Overall it’s not so bad, but aroma ruins it.
