Courtesy of bierkoning, tnx Edo! Clear amber color, small white head. Wort, caramel and rye in the nose. Medium-bodied. Some caramel, harsh hops, rye and lingering hoppyness in the aftertaste.

Bottle, pours red-brown with an off-white head, a little grapefruit, tangerine and spice on the nose, nice chewy body for a pale ale, spicy & bitter, with some dark caramel and a grapefruit-bitter finish.

A pretty good pale ale. The rye really comes through in the aroma an taste. Bitter and bready. Tried with mom and dad at the Jopenkerk in 2012.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2013 Another quality take on pale ale by Jopen, this being a rye pale ale. The look is coppery with a light cinnamon head, which is frothy. Despite the modest 5,6% ABV it is full of taste: fruity apricot with plenty of hops, light rye sour, but with a refreshing finish.

Very nice Rye Pale Ale! Low on alcohol, full of taste! One of my favourites.

Bottled. A murky brown beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of spicy hops and lemons. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, rye, hops, straw, and spices, leading to a dry and lightly plastic finish.
