0.3 l bottle from Drankenservice Francoise, bottled in january 2015. Clear, deep red with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Fruity-malty aroma of raisins, dark cherries, redcurrant, caramel and a bit of alcohol. Sweetish, fruity-malty aroma of raisins, dark cherries, redcurrant and caramel, followed by a short, just slightly bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant, without any highlights.

Too sweet and spicy in the wrong way for me. Not bad though, but wouldn’t have it again.

Alkohol dobrze ukryty. Ciekawe i bardzo nietypowe piwo o degustacyjnym, deserowym profilu. Gęste, treściwe, słodowe i dość wymagające w odbiorze rekompensuje nam to ciekawymi doznaniami, nieczęsto spotykanymi w piwach.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s. 8.5% BB March 2017. Hazy dirty dark red, big foamy tan head, light lacing. Aroma is spice, sweet stewed apple, toffee. Body is medium, a bit foamy, soft carbonation and rounded mouthfeel. Taste is sweet caramel, sugary, honey, no real bitterness. It’s alright I suppose - too sweet for me and the herbal flavours didn’t show up as much as I was hoping.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Daniel. Pours clear amber with a creamy white head. Some herbs in the nose, jammy fruits, ripe citrus, faint cinnamon. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with rich bread, wintery berries, bread, apricot. Medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Sugary finish, lots of bread, spices and herbs, cherry, berries. Good stuff.
