Yeasty, moderately sweet and slightly toasty malt aroma with caramel, a tinge of liquorice, undefined spicy, herbal elements and noticeable alcohol. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, quite light bodied regarding its strength, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Toast-malty taste with caramel, raisins and spicy notes; moderately sweet, strong spicy and herbal finish. Very interesting old fashioned style, although the historical brews most probably didn´t had that strength. faroeviking (6130), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Oct 6, 2007 Caged and corked. This poured with the color of a muddy river bottom with an initial blast of carbonation that disappears almost instantly. The aroma is strongly soured and vegetabley. As I drink, I’m trying to decide if I like this. It’s an odd blend of sweet yeastiness, some gross dried fruit and a funky root beery thing, too. Odd.
