Pours a dark, chestnut colour with a big frothy white head. Smell is a sweet malt with a bit of spice. Taste is balanced, lovely.

Muddy brown pour with a very thin head that faded quick. Aroma is sweet, raisin like, maybe fig or plum too. Full mouth. Really sweet. Slight alcohol flavor and a rose water like quality to it. Dry finish, almost astringent even. Leaves your mouth feeling prickly. Sweet fruity notes of stone fruit and raisin. Toffee as well. A little bit of herbaceous quality as it warms. A little lace present.

Geruch leicht medizinisch, ein bisschen wie Campari. Zudem Sirup und Lakritz. Geschmack dann wie Lakritzschnecken und ein bisschen Schokolade. Kräftig, aber ausgerissen.

Pours translucent brown with a moderate medium brown head. Nose is cherries, some sourness, a little mustiness. Very sweet, flavor is cherries, candied berries, heavy malt. No bitterness at all. Mild alcohol body. Oddly watery mouthfeel, with a little chalkiness. Overall I like it quite a bit.

From cervezasespeciales. In Teku glass. After dinner. Profile of a good Dubbel with hops replaced with odd (for me) yet pleasant mix of herbs that integrates very well. 6 months after BB date.

Draft. Amber/brown with an off-white head. Herbs, alcohol, fruits, malt, soy, salt. Notable taste of alcohol and yeast. Aroma and flavour go well hand in hand.

20160605 Home; 30 cl bottle; BB 20171208 (brewed in the Netherlands): An amber coloured beer with a cloudiness of particles. A strong smell of caramel, dark malt and particularly herbs with bitterness. Taste is herbs which give the beer a dry taste and also bitterness. It is a sweet beer with caramel. In the aftertaste bitterness (dry) and a sticky sweetness.
