Mooie zwarte kleur met met weinig creme schuim. Ruikt rokerig, whiskey geur. Smaakt lekker rokerig, whiskey.

De geur in het glas deed me echt bijna over me nek gaan. De smaak was nog erger. Wat een vieze bocht zeg.

30cl bottle. Black brown beer with a small white head. Taste: roasted malt, some sweet, woody, smoky, whiskey, coffee

Bottle from local Mitra. This stout has way too much Laphroaig influences for my taste. Didn’t feel like I was having a beer, more like having whisky. Complexity is probably present but I wasn’t able to experience it because of the strong Laphroaig taste.

kermis (4741) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUN 9, 2014
Draft at the Noord-Hollands Bierfestival. Pours murky brown with a ring tan head. The Laphroaig and peat completely overpower any other aspects of the aroma. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with flat carbonation.

At NHBF 2014. Poured deep, dark brown with a small tan ring. Aroma of sweet peat, roast malt. Full body, flavour much as the aroma. Bit lacking in overall body, but nice.

Dark brown pour with thin white head. Aroma is smoky, peppery, light appealing fruity notes. Taste of iodine, really smoky, salty, tons of Scotch, really unbalanced. Palate is thin and does not support the richness and smokiness.

Bottle sampled @ Alkmaar beer festival. Very thin off white head. Clear amber pour. Lovely smooth aftertaste.

Bottle 33cl. 2nd batch. Opaque dark brown color, half finger foamy tan head, stays a short while, some lacing; aroma roasted malt, whisky, peat, light iodine notes, wood, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, earthy – you keep on sniffing; malty sweetbitter taste, roasted, whisky, alcohol (of course), medicinal notes, hint of salt; creamy texture, full body; bitter finish, slightly sweet, chocolate, coffee, alcohol, smooth bitterness at the end. Really a hammer.

Bottle from local Mitra. Full 33cl sample. The aroma has roast, dark fruits and iodeine/peat. Black coloured beer with a brown head. The taste taste is light-moderate bitter, quite some medicin, has roast, dark fruits, coffee, wood. Medium-full bodied beer. Must say I expected this to be a beer I wouldn’t enjoy to much since Laphroaig is far from my favorite whiskey. I expected the Laphroaig to completely take over the beer; This is not the case. So if you like Laphroaig, and you like your whiskey barrel aged imperial stouts still to taste like imperial stouts; this beer is a good pick. Must say to me there is still a bit too much hospital.
