COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Until spring 2009 brewed by Huyghe for Jopen. Until 2006 brewed by Van Steenberge. Brewed with three grains: barley, oats and wheat, as requested in mediaeval Haarlem, fresh-bitterish hops and spicey coriander. Jopen Lentebier is unfiltered and gets a secondary fermentation in the bottle. A darker blonde beer with a fruity aroma and a fresh, fullbodied taste.

Its spring again, and what a wonderful beer to drink during this season. Blonde, hoppy flavours, i could really taste the coriander seeds. It taste a little like La Chouffe, its spring in a bottle!

Donker geel bier met schuim. Smaak is hoppig en licht zuurfruitig met sporen van abrikoos, erg goed lentebier wat afwijkt van de gebruikelijke lentebieren. Smaak blijft lang hangen. Etiket is blijkbaar gewijzigd.

Lekker fris , hoppig biertje, maar sloeg helaas wel snel dood. Ondanks dat voor herhaling vatbaar

Clear amber beer with a nice white head, little carbonation. Tastes like hops, fruity, coriander, caramel and sweet. A nice hoppy bitter aftertaste.

These are the kind of beers a like when I need a refreshment. The usage of the American hops comes forward in both aroma and taste, bitter/sweet and fruity. The belgian ale characteristics are less abundant, some spiceness. I’m missing some malt characteristics as well, making this beer even more an american pale ale.

A few flaws but with caracter. Nice clear golden with a small head and soft carbonation. A bit but not too sweet and a bit but not too alcoholic. Expected something more refreshing. Flavor is malts citrus lycees and bitter hops. Texture is a bit oily. Long bitter aftertaste. Big plus: regional brewer, inexpensive and available at my local big-chain supermarket. Thanks AH guys for offering more than macro pilsners nowadays.

33cl bottle from Põrgu. Not a typical belgian ale. Loads of fruity hops and coriander. Medium bodied, smooth and very satisfying drink. You do not really want to drink anything else after that during the same evening.

330ml bottle. Clear amber color. Small size, white head, stays. Sweet, touch of caramel, faint fruity aroma. Burnt caramel- I mean real caramel not artificial shit, touch of yeast, dead grass in taste. Burnt dusty caramel malts in aftertaste. Alcohol is very well hidden. Soft carbonation. Moldy burps.

Bottled, 330ml from Hopduvel Warehouse, Ghent, Belgium. Hazy gold with white head. There is a fairly spicy, herby note to this from the off alongside a fruity, yeasty character. Reasonably bittering with a crisp palate. Pretty decent.
