COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Until spring 2009 brewed by Huyghe for Jopen. Until 2006 brewed by Van Steenberge. Brewed with three grains: barley, oats and wheat, as requested in mediaeval Haarlem, fresh-bitterish hops and spicey coriander. Jopen Lentebier is unfiltered and gets a secondary fermentation in the bottle. A darker blonde beer with a fruity aroma and a fresh, fullbodied taste.

Orange coloured, unclear beer. Hoppy/spicy aroma, mild initial taste but pretty bitter hoppy end. Decent beer.

Cloudy golden orange color, big off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, flowers, blossom, some coriander, some oat. Sweet taste, citrus, bitter hoppy. Very nice beer, i was surprised.

Gushing to a little, fully hazy, orange beer with a greenish shine, and a mass of orangey foam. Nose: coriander, coriander and again coriander. Flowery, too, blossomy, maybe a tad honey. There’s no escaping the coriander. Wheat presents itself, too, and a very orangey/citrus flavour. There’s some spicey bitterness surrounding it all, maybe some lunaria-flavour. Oats work well for a fuller body, in my experience, and this here is another confirmation. Some slickness. Not bad, certain refreshing qualities. I’m, however, all in favour of a European total ban on the use of coriander in drinks. Add that in the lambstew or gosht curry itself!

in 2004 they reduced the corianderseed, but after pooring out a bottle, the flavour of coriander is still very present. The colour is rubyyellow. The palate however is easy going, fruity, but very mild in coriander taste. It is not lingering on. A good beer to cook with(lambstew or curry). Not a favourite, but acceptable.

This springbeer has a very strong aroma of coreanderseed. Maybe a bit to strong, because the first impression is not that positive. After a carefull first sip that impresion changes; the taste is very nice. The full flavour is a mix between sweet maltynes and spicy flavours. It maight be overwhelming in taste and aroma but it is a very unique beer that I would like to drink more often.

Pepper, herbs and nutmeg aromas and flavors. Like opening the spice cabinet. Slightly sweet. Okay, but not a standard ale. Good for those that like spice.

Aroma is good, spicy, wheats. Yellow golden coloured, lasting head. Flavor is not my style, spicy, bitter and some herbal-like stuff which was too strong. Palate is hopbitter with some herbs,

Very spicy and wheat aroma. Hazy golden color, white head, very nice lace. Spicy, bitter but sweeter in the end, very special and strange for a spring brew. Long lasting finish, spicy, bitter and sweet.

Lovely perfumed aroma. Butter, citrus, plums and hops. Golden color with a touch of orange, a bit hazy. Sweetish, hoppy, herbal flavor with citrus, slightly buttery. Some tartness. Long curacao hopbitter finish. A very well made beer.
