Malle Babbe is a dark blond Weizen brewed with Saphyr hops as whirlpool hops. The beer should have banana and citrus flavours.

Kolor : Jasny bursztyn. Lekko mętne.
Piana :Drobnoziarnista. Bardzo nietrwała. Szybko znika. Słaby lacing.
Zapach : Klasycznie. Trochę drożdży i słabo wyczuwalny banan.
Smak: Owocowe aromaty. Banan na pierwszym planie. Trochę karmelu. Smak świeżego pieczonego chleba. Nieco wodniste.
Wysycenie: Dość duże
Etykieta : Ciekawy historyczny akcent. W centralnej części motyw z obrazu holenderskiego malarza Fransa Halsa - Malle Babbe .
Według niektórych opowieści Malle Babbe była prostytutką w Haarlemie gdzie mieszkał i malował autor portretu.

Nice weizner! Freshness of the citrus, but also some nice sweet tones! Perfect summer beer

A very nice dunkelweizen. Nice sweet taste, with a dark body and smooth aftertaste.

Jopen’s take on the classic Dunkelweizen style, bottle from a Deen supermarket. Creamy, frothy, thick, heavily lacing, egg-white head over a cloudy brownish amber coloured beer, lighter than expected from the style. Aroma of baked banana, gingerbread, chestnut, soap, cloves, orange peel (probably the Saphir hops), ’speculoos’, lemon zest, caramel candy, almond, peach, soggy sandwiches, dried flowers. Mildly but vividly fruity onset, hints of peach, mandarin, banana and ripe pear, softish carbo, fluffy and supple body, soapy wheat matching well with bready malt sweetness, caramelly edge, ’deep’ red berry sourishness throughout but very gently so, spicy hints and retronasal spicy phenols adding complexity instead of interfering too much with the overall flavour, bready yeast in the finish as well as aromatic, lightly citrusy but not bittering hops and lingering fruit esters. Nice work, a bit deviant from the standard Dunkelweizen style and I had a few ’free’ interpretations which did not really convince me, but this one is very enjoyable.

Donkergeel / oranje bier zonder schuim.

0,33 bottle purchased at Beerville shop in Belgrade-Serbia and consumed in Kosovo. Ciao Vlada! Pours a very dark golden color, a bit cloudy with a tick and creamy off-white foam. Nose: lemon dish soap, some clove, spices. Mouth: some banana, wheat, citronella, lemon grass.

Nogal een bijzondere weinig smaak, precies een stout smaak. De bananen en citrussmaken maken het nog niet echt af.

0.33 l bottle shared with ?omo, Dinko and Jela. Thanks Dinko. Murky dark golden, small to medium white head. Coriander aroma. Some dryness. Sweet otherwise, but not to much. Light body and medium carbonation. Sweet finish. Nothing special.
