Malle Babbe is a dark blond Weizen brewed with Saphyr hops as whirlpool hops. The beer should have banana and citrus flavours.

Mooie oranjegele kleur. Volle schuimkraag. Oogt als een weizen. Frisse, citrus, fruitige geur met een tikkeltje bHop. Goede weizen smaak. Iet wat waterig. Wel verfrissend.

300ml bottle. Minimally cloudy amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Malty aroma has a touch of baked banana and honey, grainy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet malty, hints of sere bread, dry hoppy overtones with a touch of green apple parings. Dunkelweizen?

Pours a hazy medium amber with a white head. Bit too watery for my taste. I may give it another try in summer.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Classic Weizen with a little less fruits in the aroma than usual. Huge carbo with a decent aftertaste. Not spectacular but really drinkable.

I don’t know what saphyr hops are, but they make this weizen a little bit too sweet. The banana doesn’t help eitherm

Tap at the brewpub. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is crisp yeasty with a little red berry fruit. The flavour is weak bitter, with some yeast, malt, a little banana and a hint of liqourice on the watery palate.

Bottle from MrHangover - thank you a lot, Johan! Pours out of the bottle in a cloudy dark brown colour with steady head and medium body. Nose of brown bread and wheat. Taste of mild wheat, bread, flowers, berries and mild hops. Refreshing, but nothing too exciting. Solid beer.

Pours an orange brown beer with a not very long lasting head. Smells wine, droves. Tastes lemon and droves. Average carbo, thin body and a watery texture.

Orange/chestnut like colloured, small to medium white head. Sweet aroma fruity strawberry hints but also a sticky bitter chocolat smell. Watery soft bitter and fruity taste low carbonation and a soft to medium bitter
