Malle Babbe is a dark blond Weizen brewed with Saphyr hops as whirlpool hops. The beer should have banana and citrus flavours.

Bottle, 33cl, at home while cooking. I drank this icecold and even then the hop taste was really present. It was refreshing and really nice. When it was cold I mostly tasted citrus and coughing syrup. After a while the beer was at room temperature and there was a malty taste to be found. Nice surprise. Would definitely drink again.

Bottled@AIH40. (from biernavigator). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some toffee and a bit syrupy sweet notes. Flavour is citrus, some syrup, mild floral notes as well as some toffee. Simplistic and quite a typical "Dutch Ale" (to which for instance almost all "bok" beers from Holland also suits).

Hazy amber color, small white head. Banana and citrus in the nose. Light-bodied. Watery for this ABV, light banana fruityness but mainly lime hoppyness. Quite dry weizen and lacks "dunkel".

Frisch-mild, weich. Schöne weiche Weizen-note, Nelken mit frischem Hopfen. Floral, aber nicht so intensiv wie erwartet. Frisch, malzig und weich im Nachgeschmack. Nicht zu tief & leicht dünn. Nett.

Rood/amberkleurig bier met weinig schuim. Geur van mout, bananen, caramel. Smaak van mout, bananen, caramel en gras. Het is te proeven dat het een witbier is, maar wat zoetig. Nasmaak is bijna afwezig, jammer. Lekker maar niet bijzonder.

Drank with Timon @ Samson 29-10-2014. Did not like the beer. Tastes like spa red. Bitter, no body, lots of carbonation, no depth or richness in the taste. Weizen hints are noticable and nice though, but the overall beer just lacks quality.

Pours slightly hazy amber with a very quick disappearing white head that leaves no lacing. Aromas of malts (caramel, hay, cereal), yeast and bananas are present. Pleasant, but not that special. Taste is in sweet in general. No bitterness. Largely bananas, honey, wheat and caramel in the beginning. Aftertaste is a bit banana and pretty ’buttery’. It doesn’ last long, which is pretty disappointing. Light bodied, with a thin watery texture and average carbonation. Overall seen the beer was quite a disappointment when it comes to the palate and the appearance. Too watery and a far too short finish. Would’ve loved to have a bit thicker texture and a longer aftertaste. The taste was okay to me, but it isn’t going to help its ratings that much.
