Bottled from Mitra. Dark color, medium lasting brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, some rye, nice toffee, mocha, dry nuts. Thick creamy texture. Good bitter taste, nicely balanced with roasted grains and smooth sweet caramel. Slight sweet palate. I like this brew, gonna get a whole crate of it at my local Mitra!

75 cl bottle @ home (as Leibier, bottle 1690 of 2500). Deep Dark color, bit not quite opaque/black. Not much head. Aroma’s: roast, drop/laurel, sweet malt, sourish fruit, rye bread, coffee, chocolate - a plethora of aroma’s all beautifully balanced. Flavor is medium sweet and roasted, rye bread. Alcoholfeel is not too strong, carbonation is rather soft, body is medium. Finishes lightly bitter and roasted. This is pretty much how I like my impies. Near perfect.

Bottled, Essen Kerstbierfestival 2011. Black coloured beer with some very light aroma and a medium brown head. Roasted malty stout aroma with sweet bitter touches. Medium to full palate. Finish is bitter roasted an malty herby hinted. Rather bitter for an Imperial Stout. Overall nice brew.

15cl bottle sample @ Kerstbierfestival ’11, Essen. Brun clair/cuivre, col beige. Sympa.

Bottle at Arends Nest, Amsterdam. Shared with Yespr and Joergen. Opaque black - brown beer. Residual tan head. Light dry palate - a little crisp. Mild dark malt. A little bitterness. Mild lacto. Minerally dark malt. Trace of dark chocolate and a whisper of coffee. Dry selterish finish. Pretty good.

Tasted as Liebier - big bottle, took a few hours to get thru. Jet black with lovely crema thick head. Complex aroma with berries a touch of wood and light char notes. Wonderful sweet mouthfeel. The alcohol certainly warms but a ipa like ricnhess. Defies its black appearance the dark malts only flirt with any presence. Burnt toffee and jam like sweetness. Wonderful

Shared a bottle with DutchDrebus. Hazy dark color. Little bit fruity smell, slightly hoppy. Taste is a little more flat than the smell but a nice finish and good body make this a very decent beer overall.

Dark ruby-red colour. Smells a bit fruity and hoppy at the same time. Tastes pretty nice. For me it’s not their masterpiece (meesterstuk means masterpiece).

Dark ruby red colour, creamy tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, liquorice, bay leave and dark rye bread (Fries roggebrood). Hints of candied citrus peel. Fruity hops. Flavour of malts, coffee, toffee, milk chocolate, burnt malt bitterness, slight smokyness. Slightly astringent, leaves a dry mouth feel. Rather long finish with bitter burnt malt tones and hops. Pleasant. (From 33cL bottle)
