Had this one after the Vedett IPA, that is a world of difference. Hoppy aroma with loads of soft ripe tropical fruits a nice mix of malt and a good bitterness. Made my evening good.

This is a pretty good IPA, really well balanced and not too hoppy. Light and mellow. Tried with Nick in Utrecht in 2014.

On draft at Burg Bier Festival 2014. Hazy golden colored, medium sized head. Hoppy nose, tropical fruit. Smooth bitter flavor, besides hops also some malt character shining through. Seems like Jopen has chosen its Mooie Nel to be a more hop/malt balanced beer instead of a one-dimensional hop bomb. Too bad for the hop heads, but good for me :-).

Keg at Flying Elk, Stockholm. Lightly hazy pale amber, small head. Caramelly nose with some minty citrus. Mid sweet with medium-full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Heavy on caramel, some blood orange and peppermint. Mid bitter finish. Dominated by caramelly malt.

Gouden kleur, mooie dikke cremeachtige kraag. Ruikt erg naar grapefruit, sinaasappelschil, hoppig. Idem smaak. Bittere nasmaak.

Thanks bierkoning! Clear amber color, small white head. Musty aroma has berries, citrus and cardboard. Medium-bodied. Citrus, sweetish fruits and grainy flavors. Some alcohol. Doesn’t feel very fresh but it is BB 12/2014. Beer with Citra, Simcoe and Cascade should be better.

Een stuk zoeter wat ik van IPA gewent ben. Krentjes, appeltaart met sinaasappelschil in aroma. Smaak is manderijn met gember, weird. Redelijke kraag die flauw wordt op donkergeel.

Good IPA, with a bit more citra hop than number one. Nice, but not special.

Tap @ Drie Dorstige Herten. Slightly hazy golden color, medium head. Soft aroma of tropical fruit on a bit of grainy malty background. I think the beer is somewhat older already and the strong hop aroma is past its prime. More for the ’average’ beer drinker now. Decent fruity bitterness.
