330 ml long neck bottle, at home. poured into a snifter. ABV 6.8% Deep brown colour with ruby shades, semi-transparent. Two fingers of tan head, with low retention and no lacing left on the glass. Malty smell, somewhat weird and cheesy-like. Really stinks at first, becomes less offensive as the beer warms up. Just aome light sweet malts on the taste, I can’t seem to taste any of the chestnuts. Some light caramel taste along with alcohol too. Medium thin body, low carbonation. Overall, this was pretty weak, and not only compared to the other two of the series.

Dark brown with a red tint and a medium, beige, disappearing, sticky and lacy head. Smells of toasted malt, with nut - chestnut, and caramel and a bit of roast with raisin and chocolate. Sweet and nice. Slightly herbal. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Sweet toasted and caramel malt with some chestnuts gives a nice base to work with but not too sweet. It ends with a soft roast, chocolate bitter dry finish. I like the full malt taste of a decent bock. The toasted and roasted act nicely to counter the caramel and sweet malt. Nice balance.

Slightly hazy reddish brown colour, beige head. Aroma of malts, nuts, caramel, fruit and carambola (starfruit). Sweet malty flavour, caramel, candied chestnuts. Quite thin body. Malty finish, quite short, caramel, with some lingering sweetness.
Chestnut is not the easiest fruit to let shine in a beer I presume, but besides some caramelised tones which might have been chestnut I haven’t really noticed it. Still, it’s an enjoyable beer.

aroma van mout, honing en ja, het zit er echt in; kastanje
smaak: bittertje, ietwat kruidig, enorm waterig, voor mij weinig noten/kastanje smaakbeleving.
lichte body, dun van textuur, normale co2,.
overall: te vlak, te waterig, geen complexiteit in de smaken, helaas géén herhaling voor mij.

Dark brown body with off white to yellow head. Forest malts, sweet bread, resin hops. Sweet nuts. Quite sweet body, light malts, dough. Enough herbal hops in the end. Nice bok, bit flat. (33cl bottle from ABC beers)

Clear red brown beer, big irregular beig head, unstable, little adhesive. aroma: very sweet and sugary, caramel, cough syrup, candy from dark forest fruis. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: some caramel, but not as sweet as I feared, toast, little sour, bready, brown sugar, mocha, some chocolate. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, earthy, some mocha and chocolate, hoppy bitter ending. Very complex and good brew!

Bottle@home, 33cl. Head: beige colored foam. Color: ruby brown. Aroma: hops, nuts. Taste: hops, nut, roasted malt. Palate: dry, nice bitter, medium body, lasting. Overall: very nice.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy dark brown coloured brew with an well bitter taste and a firmy nutty hints.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a dark reddish brown with a thin tan head. The aroma is malt and nuts. The flavour is bittler but light. The nuts are there but its well hidden. Not a favourite.

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, vanilla, raisins and some dark fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
