(bottle, 33cl) Clear, reddish amber colour with a firm medium-sized tanned foamy head. Moderately piney and slightly citric hoppy aroma with notes of dark malt, caramel and liquorice. Bitter and moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Dark malt character with caramel, liquorice, accompanied by piney and mildly fruity hops; present dark malty sweetness towards the moderately fruity and bitter hoppy finish with warming alcoholic notes. Not the best ASA, but nevertheless a pleasant Ale. 20.X.12

bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Aroma of caramel malt and dark dried fruit. Opaque black color, ivory head that drops to a cover, bands of lace. Taste is deceptively light toasted malt that is incredibly smooth as it moves through medium carbonation to a lightly hopped finish that includes fruit cake fruit and alcohol. Big, bold, balanced, smooth, and really solid.

Bottle from Beer Cartel 060516. I was expecting this beer to have a big alcohol kick but it holds the high alcohol content very well. Hard to believe that it is 10% ABV. Dark and mysterious in the glass with a swirling mix of copper and red flecks topped with a thin coating of foam.

Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours near black with a huge tan head and a treacle and citrus aroma. There is a full-bodied dark molasses flavor with lots of candi sugar and a fairly bitter finish. It’s like a quadrupel with lots of hops. Interesting and tasty.

Rich and malty aroma, predominantly caramel and some spice. Pours dark golden with a small head. Rich and malty taste, the caramel really comes through. Feels oily and quite flat as it should. Grand beer.

12 oz bottle from Party Source at home. Pours a hazy amber brown color with a large fluffy beige head. The aroma and flavor have big ripe fruit, Belgian candi sugar, hints of spice, some alcohol, pretty sweet, very little carbonation, decent but too sweet with not enough balance.

Alcohol dominant in aroma with some dried fruit. Dark brown, good off-white head that persist. Moderate carbonation. Roasted coffee and fruit flavours. Medium body with moderate late bitterness, Like this beer - could have done with a bit more body

10%ABV. Belgian Quad. Tapped out black brown. 38ºSRM. Nose has aromas of bubble gum and ripe banana. Mouthfeel is thick soapy. Palate has pleasant sweet flavors with some spicy character suggesting nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate has flavors of honey, dates, ripe plums and sweet raisins, maybe even rum raisins. Alcoholic palate helps to deliver the aromatics into the hypopharynx facilitating a taste-aroma experience that connects in the mid-brain to give you an impression of a very happy Christmas. Goes on Favorites List!
