Botella 33. En copa cerrada. Color cahoba oscuro.

If you are willing to for one and for all change your idea of perfect beer, try Ongelovige Thomas. The appearance of this beer is perfect to begin with. Dark brown with a orange-reddish glow. The beer is very cloudy. Foam is little brown, but soft. The smell is dark and sweet, reminds of caramel and toffee. And hops. Nice. Than the taste. Extraordinary. The smell of caramel, toffee and hops, comes back in the taste, only intensified a thousand times. The taste reminds me of Duvel triple hop (?) and Chouffe Houblon, but milder, les bitterness and more sophisticated. The taste is familiar, but somehow new. Only slightly bitter in first, but after rolling the beer on the back of your tongue, a nice bitterness arises. There is also a sourness, somehow linked with a sweetness, I can’t really describe the sensation. You just have to try it, you won’t be disappointed. The Belgians are sure the best brewers in the world, but we (the Dutch) are definitely second.

Bottle from a trade with Countbeer, cheers! Pours a murky brown with a light mocha head, which later forms a layer on the beer. Aroma is herby and slightly earth. Taste is herby, slightly caramel sweet and a low bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Toll abgestimmt!
