Bottle @ KBC 2011. A red/brown colored beer, with a foamy beige head. The aroma of malts with fruits and spices. The taste has malts with liquorice juice, spices and alcohol in the back. The aftertaste is bitter with spices and some sweet.

Small vast tan head on top of a hazy deep dark brown, with a ruby shine, colored beer. Smell barleys, oysters, sweets, mollasses, Taste mollasses, barleys, sweet, hops, bitter, spices, herbs hops, syrup. Full mollassy bitter aftertaste. Low carbo, medium to full body and a soft mouthfeel. Light creamy sticky texture. Lovely balanced, lovely beer.

A bottle shared with my work mates at ’t Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Cloudy brown beer, small tan head. Light aged malt nose. Soft creamy palate. Caramel, creamy malt. Mild licorice spice. Finishes soft and dry. Not bad but just lacks a little cohesion.

Bottled@fonefan. Hazy ambery colour with not too much head. Aroma is caramel malts, some syrup, mild alcohol as well as some slight raisins as well. Flavour is fruits, raisins, alcohol, plum and some slight syrupy notes. Rather pleasant Barley Wine.

Bottle 750ml.

Light unclear medium to dark red - brown amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, dark overriped fruit, licorice notes. Flavor is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, chocolate malt, wood, bread. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101022]

Bottle@BlindTasting. Brown colour, hazy, beige head, good lace. Very fruity aroma, sweet and alcoholic. Very sweet, nice bitterness, plum, toffee, apricot, herbal hops, laurel in the finish. Very sticky mouth feel. Nice!

75cl Bottle, thanks Thijs! Dark brown colour, nice creamy beige head. Aroma of sweet dark malts, chocolate, dark fruits, light hops. Flavour is sweet, malty, dark fruits, rich, chocolate, light coffee, firm bitter malty and hoppy finish. Fullbodied, slick. Good stuff.

Dark brown colored brew. Faint spicy and sweet aroma. Flavor has sweetness, spices, vanilla and dried fruit. Ok.

75cl bottle giftpack. Great art work on the bottle. Dark amber colour. Not much head. Great taste
