3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 33cl. Brown with a beige head. Aroma is banana and sweet dried fruit and parfume. Taste is funny: It reminds me when I as a child entered the sweets store and could select all wine gums in the world. This in combination with vanilla from some barrel aging makes this beer special. It is my beer? No. It’s more special than nice (my opinion)

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This one is a lng way from the ongelovige thomas. Muchmore sweetnes, oak and vanilla and much less of the roasted malts. Kenau is clearly present. To me more like a belgian quad than an american. Super!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, pours dark brown with an off white head. Lots of oak, raisins, figs, brown sugar, vanilla. Sweet, moderate light bitterness. Nice, but a bit too oaky and boozy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, bottled in June 2015. Clear, dark red with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, some molasses, raisins, prunes, figs and some port. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, molasses, raisins, prunes, brown sugar and some port, followed by a long, warming, boozy, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, average carbonation. Decent beer, but not very complex and at the same time too bozy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ home shared with Thompson. Looks very dark and somewhat opaque with very little to no head. Smells quite fruity but not too sweet, some hints of yeast as well. You can also smell alcohol coming from it. Taste gives fruit mixed with some oak, also a slight hint of burned sugar in there. Overall, quite a unique beer that isn?t comparable to anything else I?ve tasted before.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 33cl. Dark brown with an off white head. Aroma of burnt sugar, malts. The taste is very sweet for a Jopen beer. At first it’s rather flat but the aftertaste develops into a bouquet of sweetness, Jopen hops and a warm glow of alcohol.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from trade with Douberd, many thanks! Pours dark, reddish brown with beige head. A little boozy aroma with vanilla, oak and dates. Also slightly boozy taste with caramel, oak, vanilla, dates and arrack. Full bodied and yummy, with a long syrupy finish. Bit heavy though.
