Clear medium red brown color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, nutty, damp-stained. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081115]

30 cL bottle. Pours golden deep orange to amber, clear with a dense off-white head. Spiced aroma, light presence of a solid caramel and chocolate malt profile beneath. Flavour is spiced, shows a medium sweet chocolate malt base. Lingering spiced and slight chemical like note into the finish. Gets a slight bit to dominant on the spice note.

An unclear red-brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet spicy with cinnamon and licorice-root standing out. The flavor is sour with notes of oranges. Yet another sour Dutch beer.

(Bottle 30 cl) This doesn’t really look very appetizing. Muddy brown with a head to match. Some rather indefinable flavours - probably because of the unusual mixture of malts. Has some bitter notes but nothing much more really. This is not unpleasant, just hasn’t really got much pow. 070403

Bottled. Hazy brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is metallic and slightly hoppy. Bloodlike as Marsiblursi puts it may actually be even more correct. Flavour is also the same. Not very exciting... Also some notes of alcohol.

Bottled at DBF 2005. Cloudy brown coloured with an off white head. Malty aroma, but not much aroma at all. Unpleasant sour flavour with spicy notes.

Bottled. Cloudy dark amber. Metallic nose. Sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and a highly disturbing metallic blood flavour combined with ash, and what’s that?Uranium? Burning sacharine finish.

Cloudy dark amber color. The aroma is very simple, with a light malty sourness. Mouthfeel is medium, well malty, with a light sourness (probably the rye). Drinkable but simple.

Draught. Sour, fresh leather aroma. Brown colour, creamy white head. Yeasty flavour, hint of sourness. Slightly sour aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2008 Bottle at Kolding Ølmesse. Pours a dark golden glowing body, topped by a medium sized beige head. Nice sweet nose with caramel, a weak alcohol touch and some spicyness. The flavor follows the same path, with caramel-sweetness, a touch of alcohol and some spices. Quite warming and full-bodied. A real by-the-fire beer. (080229)
