Jun 15, 2008 Muddy, reddish brown appearance with a large, long lasting head. Aroma is leather, caramel, with some dark fruit. Flavor is medium sweet, chocolate, some coffee. Original tasting bokbier indeed.

Jun 6, 2008 murky amberish pour from a small bottle that looked just like the picture here. Murkiness presided in the noise also; with a caramel maltihood of prominence as well as an aged hops body that played into the overall sugar feel. This beer started off kind of weird and ended weird, but that level of weirdness was obscured because of overall weirdness. Decent brew, The number score here doesn’t represent the experience.

Jun 4, 2008 12 oz bottle from Solan. Pours a murky brown color with a big foamy off-white head that had good retention. The aroma is somewhat mild with sweet malts, raisins and cloves. The flavor features more sweet malts, rye, caraway, raisins and a bit of sour apple. The mouthfeel is smooth and malty. The finish is medium in duration and has a lingering sour aftertaste. Overall: I really liked this beer--thanks SoLan.

May 5, 2008 Amber with a big off-white head. Banana and bubblegum in a yeast dominated aroma. Sweet and malty with caramel flavour notes.
