2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 wxman (962) - O’Fallon, USA - SEP 15, 2005
Had a nice white head when I poured it, but then again I poured it right down the middle. As I write this, the head is disappearing; not fizzing away (I hate that) just going away. Coats the glass a little. Has bright golden color. Aroma is of straw and corn. Some hops and malty sweetness in the flavor. I was afraid to taste it after reading the previous ratings, so it actually tastes better than what I expected. Notice I didn’t say good, just better than some of the other ratings. I don’t get any of the skunkiness mentioned by others either. It does have a less than pleasant back-of-the-throat bitter aftertaste that is reminisant of chewing on an aspirin. My recommendation: buy two six packs of Miller High Life instead of one six of this.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Petkus331 (77) - Redford, Michigan, USA - JUN 8, 2011
The aroma is almost like the taste of sourdough bread, a touch of grass, cheese, and a hint of raisin. Taste is almost salty, with an odd but very light sourness. Decent mouth feel for a pilsner, almost a medium body, a little oily. Overall, I almost feel like I am eating slices of american cheese, this would probably go well with a juicy Macintosh or Fuji apple.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Finhead (705) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - NOV 24, 2009
A pale golden body with small white head. It has a light malt aroma with some hops. The texture is watery, the taste is clean, and the finish is sudden with no aftertaste.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 alexanderj (2850) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - APR 22, 2009
Bottle; well half of one. Poured a hazy, ruddy gold with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt, yeast and some grass. In all honesty, I wasn’t expecting too much from this one. However, it was actually close to decent. Alot of bready malt flavor with some yeast and a bit of grass in the finish. Would be a good lawn mower beer IMO.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Sparky (2129) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - APR 1, 2009
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazing gold with a one finger white head. The nose is sour grain, malt and faint hops. The taste is malt, grain and grassy hops. There’s a weird sour taste in the background also. Medium, fairly flat mouthfeel. Meh. Since it’s retire perhaps it’s a really old bottle, but it ain’t that good.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, California, USA - MAR 19, 2009
A pretty average beer from beginning to end. Nothing realy jumps out at you in either aroma or flavor, but with that being said it’s still a solid summer time beer (even though I enjoyed a few bottles in February). The beer pours out a medium yellow-gold color with basically just a near still pour. I small film of foam did waft up from my pour, but it was due more to the agressive pour than anything. The aroma was corn, corn and more corn with a touch of malt sweetness hiding in the back. Flavor was more corn, said malty sweetness without much else. The beer definitely didn’t make you doubt what you were consuming, nor did it stretch the boundries of beer. Easy to knock back a few on a Saturday night.

original BP beer mix up, no i can say ’ay’ ... poirs a slight hazed golden brown .. big head on pour that dies to a spotty pool , some lacing - sparse ... a tad muddled, the sweetness seems in conflict with the bitters .. nice aftertaste .. low-med bubbs ... has a clean finish, pretty good ... it’ll do .. glad to have tried it .. not that bad of a beer to start your day off off off off off from work ..

White head falls moderately (and a bit fizzy) over a golden/yellow body with dusty/pulpy particulate. Milky, pale malt aroma with tiny fruit notes and minor metallica. Soda pop palate, albeit slightly heavier. Pale malt flavor, low herbals. Middle of the road.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 cazort (457) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 3, 2008
(Bottle) I had this in a restaurant in a small town in Iowa...how the heck did it get out there? This was a mediocre beer overall and a pathetic attempt at a Pilsener. This beer was sweet and had only a mild hoppiness to it. The beer was not crisp or refreshing, it came across as too heavy because of the sweetness. There was no complexity to the hop aroma and no complexity to the malt either. The gimmick-marketing of the name was not amusing enough to redeem this beer: it sits solidly among the far-below-average American microbrews. Any number of the better macros I’d prefer to this one.
