500ml bottle. Clear straw colour with a small head. Light aroma with a fruit and, some grass and a metallic tint. Fairly sweet to taste, light malt and some fruit - a little apple. The hops are there but pretty hidden. Could do with a little tartness to balance the sweetness, but pretty decent.

Appearance: Clear golden/amber with finger thick white head. Aroma: Biscuit, floral, hint of maple syrup. Taste: Low bitterness, low/medium sweet and sourness. Palate: Thick coarse texture, light body, average/prickly carbonation, fairly abrupt dry, citrus, sour/sweet malty finish. Comments: Tasty and glass lace.

Bottle ( Clear ) Orange with a small head.Slightly fruity with a bitter finish. More flavours developed the longer I drank for. Definitely a slow burner.

Bottle from B&M Stockton. Golden ale with small white head. Quite sweet and a bit too carbonated. Not much flavour really. A touch of malt, but this is pretty bland stuff.

Bottled 20/09/13. A golden coloured beer with a white head. A sweet beer which presumably is down to the maple. Obvious pasteurization. It has a reasonable depth of flavour but it’s not my thing.

500ml clear bottle: BBD of 28 Oct 2013. Shared with the wife on 13 Jun 2013, poured into two ’Palm’ badged bulbous glasses. As the name suggests, this is clear golden in colour, the white head soon became a collar and wisp. Also as the name hints, there is a maple syrup feel to the nose and taste. So fairly sweet from the off: mild hop bite or well carbonated, one or the other? OK, if a little one dimensional. The wife liked it more than me.

Bottle from B&M Bargains; clear golden amber pour with white head, grassy aroma, taste is a bit skunky and slightly like a lager shandy, slight hint of maple. The drain is going to get wrecked tonight.

Clear golden without a head. It comes in a clear bottle so light exposure gives it a slightly skunky aroma and taste, but remains drinkable.

Cheapie from B&M. Bright foaming gold. Buttered raffia, boiled veg, pine needle, cornflake aroma; dried grass, conifer and honey flavour. Low bitterness, hints of orange. Sweet cereal and honey aftertaste. Cloying, possibly wrecked by pasteurisation but safe from the plughole.
