Bomber to snifter. A pleasant brew based on past experiences with the regular red fox. Lots of bourbon sweetness but nicely balanced. Lower octane for the style so very pleasant drinking.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle:   Black, deep cola hued edges, thin tannish head, little lacing.   Charred wood, campfire, bourbon, graham cracker, soft coconut, and stale vanilla on the nose.   Smells decent enough.   Rich roasted malts
up front, warming alcohol, bourbon, campfire, with some graham cracker in the finish.   A little astringent, but only after the finish.   Needs a bit more body, or at least wished it were a bit more chewy.   Lots of graham
cracker and charred wood with this one.   Decent amount of bourbon character.   A nice sipper, just wished it were a touch smoother.   Better than I thought tho!

Black coffee color with a decent tan colored head. Aroma is sweet chocolate with coconut and caramel. A sweet chocolate cake flavor with caramel, coconut, and vanilla rounding it out...a touch of booziness. Overall a delicious desert, even at 6 am.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle waxed topped. Nose is dark fruit and Bready. Very sweet attack, not much espresso or roast. A bit thin for the style. Okay beer. Not a great imperial stout.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22, capped and waxed. Pours jet black with a dense and creamy dark tan mousse that fades quickly to a thin rim with lots of drippy lace. Big candy sweet dark chocolate nose, with vanilla and oak kicking around...too candy sweet. Thick creamy body. Sluggish carb. Heavy dark chocolate candy bar mid palate, with bourbon, oak, and vanilla candying around as well. Too sweet and goopy, tastes almost like it has processed sugar in it. Appealing but overdone. Dialed back and balanced up, this one would score a bit higher.
