Nice but not the best. A little overly alcohol tinged. Heavy on the tongue. Dark color red/black. Tap

Bottle@Cut Weer Tasting: Duvel glass: Black beer. Small brown head. Aroma shows some nice barrel aging: whiskey, soy, oat, roast, liquorice, light molasses, Flavour has nice wood tones, whiskey/bourbon, honey, bitter, roast, light spice, light mocha/caramel, light soy, some cake and cookie, some coffee, toffee, yum yum... It goes on. Nice stuff! Aftertaste is bitter, roast, wood/whiskey/bourbon and some malts with a chocolate edge. Low carbo, creamy close to silky mouthfeel, close to full bodied. This is a good barrel aged stout. Beautiful aroma and flavours, rich mouthfeel and good looks...

Bottle shared by Countbeer @ "Cut weer" tasting. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized fairly quickly diminishing brown head. Aroma is malts, soft balanced roast, wood, bourbon. Taste malts, bourbon, lightly roast, a perfect mix of malts, dark malts, lightly roast, a light hint of chocolate, sweetness vanilla oak and bourbon blend together in an almost perfect marriage. Perhaps just a little bit in the sweet side, but lovely nonetheless. Medium body, suitable soft but decently noticeable carbonation. Wonderful stuff!

Black with tan foam dissipating quickly. Non resinous surface. Soft feel, round medium heavy body. Creamy. Drinkable. Bushy green hops. Finishes lightly sweet. Touch of vanilla. not as bristling, acidic and bright than the lagunitas west had side by side. Interesting and personable.

22oz, red waxed bottle. Poured a black color with brown edges and a thin sized tan head. Lots of oaky / woodiness. Chocolate, roast, some vanilla, and some bourbon in the tastes.

Dark ebony pour with a small latte head. Cocoa, bourbon-forward, oak, vanilla, coffee, and caramel. Unfortunately, even at 9.5%, the alcohol is noticeable and a bit cloying. Not bad but not at all in the world-class category.

Rich sweet chocolate roast nose, malty mouthfeel with big bourbon undertones. Very good beer, can’t drink too much, great sipper.

The red waxed 22oz bomber pours with a nice deep dark body that supports a nearly firm tall mocha colored head that faded in a few minutes to a thin ring. The aroma offers up sweet smooth bourbon, molasses covered oak, a bit of malt infused vanilla and then chocolate brownie along with some dark roasted malts. The taste comes across a bit thin and not really as silky as you expect it to be. Nonetheless this has pleasing soft bourbon notes, some vanilla and then a nice mix of dark roasted malts, chocolate brownies, vague bitter hops and then a slight boozy burn. Pretty nice sipper.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. Poured with a good sized tan head that dissipated quickly. The aroma is bourbon, coconut, nutty, chocolate, slight hot alcohol notes. The flavor is warming alcohol, bourbon, chocolate, coconut, rich maltiness. This is a solid imperial stout.
