Amazing brew. Could definitely tell the difference between other imperial stouts and JJs use of bourbon barrel aging. Very distinctive taste and really sets the bar. Aroma of the bourbon, nice mouthfeel, taste is so amazing, nice and dark with thick head, lots of lacing.

Black coffee color with a decent tan colored head. Aroma is sweet chocolate with coconut and caramel. A sweet chocolate cake flavor with caramel, coconut, and vanilla rounding it out...a touch of booziness. Overall a delicious desert, even at 6 am.

Solid BBA stout, although there are better. What I like the most about this one is that the barreling didnt result in crazy bourbon taste, which seems to be a recurring problem. Its still a bit more bourbony than Id like, but ats a personal preference.

Served from the bottle at Big Dogs winterfest. Pretty dark; not quite as much aroma as youd think. This is pretty good, a bit thick. A tasty beer, just not amazing.

Pours black with a tan head. Smell is amazing oaky vanilla. Big barrel character and a bit of fruit. Taste is sweet smooth oaky vanilla. Lots of roast without bitter ash. Smooth and easy drinking. This is very well done.

I was expecting this to be a big disappointment, but its really pretty tasty. Thick body, and an aroma of rum, red wine, and bourbon-tinged malted milk balls. Taste is similar with the addition of some toasted coconut,, and hint of rum soaked raisins. Not very complex, but there are no off-putting flavors, right through the finish. Too pricey for the simplicity, but quite pleasant and warming on this raw, rainy day.

Pours a nearly black velvet (even under light) with a thick foamy head that quickly dissipates into thin lace. Deep rich aromas of cocoa, malt, and fresh whip cream... Malty sweet start but bitter wins out and then smokey sourness. Bourbon. A super solid Russian.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. Poured with a good sized tan head that dissipated quickly. The aroma is bourbon, coconut, nutty, chocolate, slight hot alcohol notes. The flavor is warming alcohol, bourbon, chocolate, coconut, rich maltiness. This is a solid imperial stout.
