A true amalgamation of unicorn tears and awesomesauce. We start with 2-row, Vienna, and Rye malts to create a bready malt flavor and dry finish to accentuate the hop flavor. We then add Chinook, Columbus, Centennial, Amarillo, and of course, a massive load of Citra hops at finishing, leaving you with enticing aromas of lychee, gooseberry, and passionfruit delivered only by the unique Citra hop. Put this full-frontal assault of deliciousness all up in your grill immediately!

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2016 From draft. Hazed gold with a short white head. Aroma impression is lemon, green onion / chives, grapefruit, starch, old cheese, botrytis. Medium bodied, semi-sweet with moderate bitterness, plump and savory mouthfeel with frothy carbonation and juicy-zesty finish with only faint garlic and grass hoppiness. Has a decent core and the Citra are almost enjoyable, more lemony and less catty than you typically find, but the green onion stink note is still there and limits the drinkability.

Sampled from a can. Pours a hazy orange. The aroma is slightly spicy malts and citrusy hops. Great taste dominated by the citra hops with flavours of peach, melon, gooseberry and grapefruit. Smoothly bitter finish. This beer works well when served cold, and has a pleasantly fruity and spicy flavour. Highly drinkable!

Pours light amber with a thick white head and a strong citrus aroma. There is a hearty mixed malt flavor heavy on the rye, with a smooth bitter finish.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is a pretty solid citrus hop. Much more hoppy than most pale ales. Flavor is again a fresh blast of fruity hops. I get a lot of peach with maybe a bit of apricot. The spiciness of the rye comes in after the swallow and makes its presence known. This is not just some run of the mill pale ale. The hops and rye malts are very up front and aggressive.

12oz can pours with a clear copper body that supports a tan head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up inviting notes of mango and ripe citrus as well as pineapple and cantaloupe toward the end of the draw. The taste delivers a grapefruit to tangerine citrus bitterness followed closely by a thin stream of juicy tropical fruit. To midway the malty base shows up just as the level of hoppiness ratchets up a notch where there’s a bit of lightly roasted malts in there. The rye comes across as a minor palate softening sensation. Solid pale. I love the hoppy play going on just above the pale ale maltiness.

On tap @ Yardbird, Vegas. Slightly hazy pale yellow. Pleasant crisp lemon and white grapefruit profile, hints of rye spiciness, but mostly eclipsed by the fresh hops. Long bitter finish. Very nice.

Tap at Yard House, Las Vegas, 10th November 15. This is a fairly basic IPA, floral and hoppy, good citrus and easy to drink. Not bad

Can at the Linq Hotel in Vegas. Pours a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, mildly spicy rye and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a rye and hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
