APPEARANCE- dark golden color, great white hrad and amazing lacing. Slight cloudiness, probably due to the rye. NOSE- citra & fruit explosion in my nose. FLAVOR- the taste doesn’t follow the nose well. It’s a good pale ale, slightly bitter with a hit of balancing malt flavors, but that could be increased a bit. Tastes pretty ’thin’, and like it would be great for summer cooler kind of beer. The abv supports that as well. I’d prefer just a bit more maltiness.

Can at home. Pours hazy orange with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy passion fruit, guava and citrus hops, light crackery meal malt and soft berry notes. Flavor is heavy grassy, citrus and passion fruit hops and moderate bitterness, light crackery meal malt and a dry finish. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation.

Clear brilliant golden with a thin Rocky white cap. Lovely nose with a combination of bittersweet orange rind and bready rye dough. Smooth and bready yet crisp flavor with some light spicy rye, a crisp grassy and orange citrusy hop, and a crisp, dry, bready and citrusy lightly spicy finish.

Skunky, catty, dank aroma coming off a clear yellow body with a thin white head. Superdry body with that nice spicy rye flavor. I wish I could get this all the time, it’s that good.

Pours a chill hazed golden orange on tap with thin white head that leaves good lace. Aroma of nice citra hoppiness, lemongrass and tropical citrus. Taste is a little more balanced with the malt sweetness and rye spice. Dry finish, minimal bitterness, clean and tasty pale ale.

Type: 12-oz. can Glass: Clear 9-oz. plastic cup From: Liquor World in Las Vegas, Nev. Price: $11.99 for a 6-pack Purchased: March 24, 2016 Consumed: March 24, 2016 Misc.: Canned on Jan. 5, 2016 Was really looking forward to this one. It had good reviews on Beer Advocate and reading the back just made it sound better. However, I thought it was canned on Jan. 5, 2016 when I bought it, but when I got home I’m wondering if it was actually Jan. 5, 2015. I don’t know. It’s tough to read and decipher. EDIT: Joseph James said on Untappd that they made a mistake and it is really Jan. 5, 2016 Poured a caramel, honey, hazy color with four fingers of fluffy, white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the cup. Lots of circular, foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Great retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 4.00) Smelled a healthy dose of Citra hops, tropical hops, earthy, gritty rye, lemon zest, pulpy orange juice, some dark peach, mango, dark orange blossom, sugary orange wafers and stone fruit. (Smell - 3.75) Taste followed the nose, but maybe slightly better. Got Citra hops, tropical zest, stone fruit, spicy, earthy rye, orange blossom, hints of red grapefruit, pulpy orange juice and lemon. (Taste - 4.00) Light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, citrusy finish. (Feel - 3.75) This was a pretty good pale ale. Fresh? I’m speculative. Would like to have it fresh for sure sometime to make sure. (Overall - 3.75) 3.87 87 B+

Can. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (grapefruit), with notes of elderly person and diacetyl. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Inexplicable note of an old person’s house, and not much hops (or any other aroma). Very watery. Is this a pseudo-micro made by a macro brewer? Sure comes off like something Coors or Miller would make in the guise of a "craft" brewery. Completely soulless .
